In a basket at the bottom of the well
You will find it alone and more alone there
In stone you will know what little there is to hold
So slip, beg of you, or else we must ascend back
Into the grip of hope
Where we died

General Commentwhat i deciphered is this:
it is addressing the hollow, superficial people who spend their lives trying to be something they are not. he may be telling them to slip further into disguise, lies, and whatever instead of hoping for the better since hope is always futile. OR it is simply telling them to fuck off.
