Would you believe me if I told you
That I'm surfacing for just one thieving moment
To steal your heart?

Would you believe me if I told you
That fairy tales come true
When I'm with you?

I'll free the one who falls in love again

Come on and hold you like candy on a Friday after
Making love all year
And now we're swimming down where
Iron doors are open
And there is too much fear to breathe

A girl, a boy, a hell
Like thieves we are...

All in love
With stolen hearts
And we all fall down
And fall apart for love

Dance? Alright!
But I'm giving it one last fight
I fancy not your night
I'm not your girl, your whore, your hell
But thieves, we are...

All in love
With stolen hearts
And we all fall down
And fall apart for love

this is an amazing song! it means LOVE. you can't get much simpler than that. whenever you fall in love with someone, you are stealing their heart... and so "we are all in love with stolen hearts and we fall down and fall apart for love" this song has so much truth to it! i love it!

this song is about a couple that has stolen each other's hearts.

it describes that we fall apart for this love, because it brings such pleasure as well as pain.

    too amazing for words.

    period.

uhh why haven't more people commented this song!? or lovedrug altogether?!

i absolutely LOVE them and this song to death!

it's pretty obviously about two people who fall in love.

my favorite line would have to be,

like theives we are, all in love with stolen hearts. and we all fall down and fall apart for love.

    how true.

i don't wanna sound like mean, to but you don't "fall in love" it's not like some little person shoots you with an arrow and you fall in love. you have to choose who you love (which should be everyone) but then choose you are going to to marry. anyone can marry anyone if they both are willing to make the huge commitment and make the effort to not give up and date for a lifetime.

Every time I listen to this song, it takes my breath away. A lot of people can be strong without a lover, or a significant other, but in the end, old or young, we all really do fall apart for love. A lot of people think that there is someone you're supposed to be with, but even if there is, what if one day, that person is gone? Could you not love again? Would that person not want you to love again? I think that - and not to be mean - that when someone loses their love, whether they die, or that person just chooses to leave them, that they're really actually afraid of loving again, so they tell themselves that they loved that person so much that they could never love again. But, the real question is whether you're a coward, and choose to never love again, or whether you're strong, and choose to move on. In the end, you choose.

i LOVE this song. its like beautiful. i think the part where it says..

"Come on and hold you like candy on a Friday after Making love all year"

means that, after a whole year of making love sometimes it sweet like candy to just be in there arms.

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."
