3 AM
A boy sits outside his house
Lonely with his guitar
And then he plays a melody that's so familiar
It reminds him of who we are

So hold fast to all of your hopes
And chase your dreams
With all the things that you know
Live each day like it could be your last

Because this world can be a cruel place
The more you give it seems the more you lose face
Hold on tight and things will be just fine
Whoa whoa

To the people that can hear us
Here's a message that's unwinding

Don't break hearts then try to shake hands
Cause we're living in a time of living's last chance
Let your spirit soar

Don't break hearts then try to shake hands
Cause we're living in a time of living's last chance
Let your spirit soar

Oh, Go!

Now it's half past three and I can see
The task that has been placed before me,
Don't live your life with regret
Because there will be things that you will miss

To the people that can hear us,
Here's a message that's unwinding

Don't break hearts then try to shake hands
Cause we're living in a time of living's last chance
Let your spirit soar

Don't break hearts then try to shake hands
Cause we're living in a time of living's last chance
Let your spirit soar
If you don't believe me
I'll just keep my mouth shut.
Yeah, right

4 AM
The boy can't fall asleep,
Because his actions always haunt him in his dreams
So heed his warning and don't break hearts
And don't break hearts.

Don't break hearts then try to shake hands
Cause we're living in a time of living's last chance
Let your spirit soar

These lyrics are of the original recording, but missing a verse. After the intro (...who

we are.") there is this. The first line is a complete guess. Have not found any version

    of this anywhere else:

    Demo Version:

"...who we are." ?Come and watch a fox that's so promiscuous? He broke a heart in lieu of his, what is this? Now the fireflies no longer shine their light. Because he dreams of flying fiction, A princess becomes an aberration. Jesters are not made out to be nights, woah oh no! "To the people..."

    Album Version:

"...who we are" So hold fast to all of your hopes. And chase your dreams with all that you know. Live each day like it could be your last, Cause this world can be a cruel place. The more you give, it seems, The more you lose face.(faith?) Hold on tight and things will be just fine, woah oh woah! "To the people..."

    And later on -

    Demo Version:

"4 AM, the boy can't fall asleep..." Cause there's a girl that always haunts him in his dreams. "So heed his..."

    Album Version:

"4 AM, the boy can't fall asleep..." Cause his actions always haunt him in his dreams. "So heed his..."

And lastly, the remix sample on their myspace, while not complete, so far has no lyrical

    changes than the album version.

Since I can't seem to edit:

In the first verse, I have the album versions 2nd line wrong. It is as follows:

"And chase your dreams with all the things that you know."

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.
