All we hear is our heart and our ears
In the face of this thing in the car
Drowning our babies in the bay
And it’s the same as the way that we came
When we met everyday at the car
Drowning our babies in the bay

Help is on the way
We’ll walk all night
These legs are longer and further away
Help is on the way
Help is on the way, oh

All we hear is our heart and our ears
In the face of this thing in the car
Drowning our babies in the bay
And it’s the same as the way that we came
When we met at the car everyday
Drowning our babies in the bay

Help is on the way
We’ll walk all night
These legs are longer and further away
Help is on the way
Help is on the way, oh
Help is on the way
Help is on the way

General CommentI always thought it was, "All we hear is our heart in our ears." The way you can sometimes hear your pulse when you're under stress and it's silent.

This song has been one of my favorites for years. I'm not sure on the exact interpretation of the song, but I know the feelings it gives me. Typically: nostalgia and heartsickness. This song hurts so good, as they say.
