"Change The World" as written by Dave Tozer, Christopher Anderson, Daniel Dangerfield and Elliot Ives....
I just want the best for you girl
But I don't think I really know
What that means
I know you bring the best out of me
And I know you're sick
Of abstract things
But time has been kind
In a weird kind of way
Cause I've been waiting for this feeling to leave
If I can hold onto this feeling this long
Maybe I can get you to hold me

Don't you believe, girl
You change the world
At least you changed the world for me

I won't be sorry if you leave me girl
Cause I'm the world's biggest fan of clichés
I'll set you free then I'll love like I'm not
Hurting in the world's worst ways

But I don't know if I can make it alone
And I don't have much more left to lose
I can't say for sure just where I'll end up
I just want to end up there with you

Don't you believe, girl
You change the world
At least you changed the world for me

When the darkness never ends
And my world's crashing in
And it starts to turn again
Will you believe?

When I won't get over you
And my world splits in two
When I just can't make it through
Will you believe?

Don't you believe, girl
You change the world
At least you changed the world for me
(until the end)

General Commenti think this song is about a guy that loves a girl, but he's never really been in love before, so he doesn't know how to handle it. he knows that he's in love with her and doesn't want to live without her, but is kinda scared that she's not gonna give him a chance and will leave him, so he's trying to tell her how she's changed him and made him see things he never thought he could. such a good song:)

General Commentits very obvious what the song means.. but i still think its a very good finger eleven song, despite being one of their softer tunes

General CommentI think it's similar to the Thousand Mile Wish, but personally I like TMW a little bit better. In my mind I can see a guy that has broken up with his girlfriend, then realizes that he made the wrong decision after it was too late...

General CommentDef. a regretful break up. Didn't know what they had until they lost it. Very clear in the first and second verse.

General Comment"cause i'm the worlds biggest fan of cliches" I think this line says it all. Look at the rest of the lyrics. Cliche, after cliche, after cliche. I think the song is very is a sarcastic song disguised as a break-up song.

My InterpretationI'm going to go against the grain here and say this is not actually a break-up song. I know he references life without the girl, but I think it's more of "what would happen" rather then what actually did happen or has taken place. As much as I hoped the lyrics were shallow and easily interpreted, I think there is another level here. I think he is actually complimenting the girl:

“but time has been kind in a weird kind of way
cause i've been waiting for this feeling to leave
if i can hold on to this feeling this long
maybe i could get you to hold me”

Here for example, I don’t take that as they broke up. More of that he is waiting for this feeling of love to go away cause he’s never held it this long (or at all for that matter). He’s waiting for it to go away, but it never does. Coupled with the first four lines, I think he’s really trying, and he’s glad that she’s giving him a chance.

“i wont be sorry if you leave me girl
cause i'm the worlds biggest fan of cliches
i set you free then i'll love like i'm not
hurting in the worlds worlds worst ways
but i don't know if i can make it alone
and i don't have much more left to lose
i can't say for sure just where i'll end up
i just want to end up there with you”

Here I think again, a “what if” scenario. He’ll be ok without her, but he would be devastated. He knows this, and knows that no matter what, he wants to be with her. He is basically looking toward the future, but because of his past, maybe always looks at it negatively instead of blissful.

I could be way off here, and I’m cliché as well … in that I always look for the good. So I did the same with the song.

One of my favorite off the Them Vs. You Vs. Me record, right behind Falling On and Paralyzer, and quickly climbing up my iTunes play count list.

General CommentI think it's about a guy who likes a girl, but maybe the feeling isn't mutual. He wants her to know not all relationships are the same.
