"Alice and Interiors" as written by and Andy Hull....
I swear I tried again
You’re never visible on the weekdays
When I need you to
Do what you can’t afford to do
You better watch your tone
You’re not invincible
You know I’ll do what I have to do
To stop the sound coming from you
Cause the truth is
You’re probably not as bad
As I make you out to be
To the boys and the girls
That will listen closely know
I’m the one that is sorry
You can write the coolest songs
I was wrong, I was wrong

This isn’t working out
You’re only logical on Sundays
When you can follow through
Exactly what I told you to do
Please just pick up the phone
Am I invisible?
Now you know
I didn’t mean a thing
When I said you could barely sing
Cause the truth is
You’re probably not as bad
As I thought that you were being
To the boys and myself
We’re just tired of listening
I’m the one that is sorry
Help me write the coolest songs
I was wrong, I was wrong

Cause the truth
Is that no one
Truly knows
What the hell it is you’re doing
When they ask are you dead
Or are you just sleeping?
I am the one that is happy
I don’t like your shitty songs
You were wrong
You were wrong

General CommentThis song is way wrong. So, I don't know if lyme01 got these from a different version, or if he's just creative and didn't like the real lyrics, but these are the ones from their album.

Well I swear I tried again
You’re never visible on the weekdays
    When I need you to
Do what you can’t afford to do
    You better watch your tone
    You’re not invincible
You know I’ll do what I gotta do
To stop the sound coming from you
    Cause the truth is
    You’re probably not as bad
As I make you out to be
To the boys and the girls
    That will listen closely know
I’m the one that is happy
You can write the coolest songs
I was wrong, Yeah I'm was wrong

My God! What have we got here?
I've been tryin hard and you've been
    dyin hard for years now
Well I swear I did it all
I'll always be my best flaw.

Please just pick up the phone
    Am I invisible?
    You know
I'll do what I've gotta do
to stop the sounds you make
    Cause the truth is
    You’re probably not as bad
As I thought that you were being
    To the boys and myself
We’re just tired of listening oh
I’m the one that is sorry
Help me write the coolest songs
you were wrong, you're always wrong
    Cause the truth
    Is that no one
    Truly knows
What the hell it is you’re doing
When they ask are you dead
    Or are you just sleeping?
I am the one that is happy
I don’t like your shitty songs
    You were wrong
    You were wrong

General CommentAndy said it's about two Woody Allen movies fighting before he played it at the Varsity Theater in Minneapolis on August 1, 2007. You can download a bootleg of the show at thetradersden.org Manchester Orchestra is open taping and bootlegging, so don't feel bad.

General CommentI think this song has some relevance to god/jesus/religion in general.

"Youre never visible on the weekdays
    When I need you to"

    "Cause the truth
    Is that no one
    Truly knows
What the hell it is youre doing
When they ask are you dead
    Or are you just sleeping?"

    Maybe I'm wrong?

General CommentI hear both modest mouse lyrics in this song and a Modest Mouse sound at some points of the song. it could be coincidence but i feel maybe its a statement. at least I hope its a statement because i get a lot out of this song when i consider that aspect.

    i love this bands music.
i could write essays on what the lyrics mean to me.
