I'm looking at you
It's all over
I don't feel quite the same
That look in the eyes
That you don't want me anymore
Even through you are too blame

Why Oh Why
Did this had to happen?
Why do you do me this way

(Tell me why) You had to lead me on so long
(Tell me why) I had to end it all in song
(Tell me why) You ran away with my best friend
(Tell me why) I still love you

I came across an old letter
Here what you had to say:
Would you please pick up a gallon of milk while your shopping at the store...
Wha?.....thats not it
There it is..you said....

I love you so
Your everything to me
I can love no other one
Yeah Right!

Except for maybe like I said:
My best friend
And my brother
And my dad,
And my younger brother,
And his best friend,
And that guys brother as well,
And that one guy that came over....

(Tell me why) You slept with everyone but me
(Tell me why) I'm out of words that rhyme with "me"
(Tell me why) You still owe three bucks for that milk
(Tell me why) I still love you

(Why?) did you leave me alone
(Why?) in the cold in the darkness
(Why?) so I can talk to the wall in the basement (Hey, who turned out the lights?)
Did you hurt me so bad
Did you feel no remorse?
(Why?) when you broke all of my shit with a crowbar?(Ow, my pinball)

Tell me why [8x]

I still love you [2x] (even through your a bitch)
I still love you [2x] (even through your a psycho
I still love you [2x] (even through you should DIE!)
I still love you [2x]

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Cajun Girl
Little Feat
Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
