Deena
Deena
You've got to be, who you are
Ohh Deena
You've got to do, what you want
Ohh Deena...

Deena
Don't you know?
We are free

Deena
Don’t you know?
We have got the play on me
Deena, don’t you know

They don’t love the way we do
Don't let them get to you
Deena, don't you know, don't you know, don't you know

You've go to be, who you are
Ohh Deena
You've got to do, what you want
Ohh Deena

Deena
Don't you know?
We are free

Deena
Don't you know?
We have got the play on me
Deena, don't you know

They don't love the way we do
Don't let them get to you
Deena, don’t you know, don't you know, don't you know?

Deena, don't you know?
Deena, don't you know?
Deena, don't you know?
Deena, don't you know?
(repeats)

General CommentThis song was written for my friend, Maria McCoy. She was having trouble accepting herself. There is no lesbian connotation to this song, although some people think so. Deena was a producer for a radio station in Ft. Lauderdale who complained that there were no Deena songs, yet there were many "Veronica" and Maria songs on the chart. Please also check out my song Angie Baby by Alan O'Day that I sing on my album, "Robin Fox, I see stars, The TRANCE ALBUM" Thanks
