(Oo, oo, oo)
I think it was the summertime
When I laid eyes on you
I didn't even know your name
Somehow we'd ended up in the same room
It never crossed my mind
I never saw you like that
I should've listened to my best friend
She knew we'd be a perfect match

It's a typical love story
We started out as friends
We met way back when
This is just a
Typical love story

The boy you never wanted just steals your heart
I never saw it coming 'till I fell so hard

(Oo, oo, oo)

I always made up some excuse
Saying that you weren't my type
Didn't wanna face the truth
Didn't wanna cross that line
'Till one day I saw you
Out the corner of my eye
You were flirting with some girl
And inside I thought I would die

It's a typical love story
We started out as friends
We met way back when
This is just a
Typical love story

The boy you never wanted just steals your heart
I never saw it coming 'till I fell so hard

Can't believe it's happening
When I least expected
My prince under disguise
How you fooled me with those eyes
When I feel like I am blue
In your arms is where I knew
I am wrong
From the beginning we always belong

(Love story love)

(This is my
This is my love story
This is my love story)

It's a typical love story
We started out as friends (friends)
We met way back when
This is just a

The boy you never wanted just steals your heart
I never saw it coming 'till I fell so hard

It's a typical love story
We started out as friends

This song is about falling in love. This is another upbeat and fast tempo song She's saying around the summer, there was a guy that she always believed was her friend and she never thought anything more but then her best friend told her they make a good match and then she started to think about it and it was only then she realised when she saw him talking to another girl and felt jelous and knew that she liked him. This part of the song is very awsome:

Can't believe it's happening When I least expected My prince under disguise How you fooled me with those eyes When I feel like I am blue In your arms is where I knew I am wrong From the beginning we always belong

It the best part in the song. Your prince comes when you least expect it and it's a magical feeling.

This is currently my favorite song - who can blame me? At first I didn't like it - to..hiphop. But the lyrics ended up getting stuck in my head, so I decided to listen to it again. Now I can't stop. This song fits all my favorite couples..like, seriously. dood. o-o

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

Ed Sheeran shares a short story of reconnecting with an old flame on “American Town.” The track is about a holiday Ed Sheeran spends with his countrywoman who resides in America. The two are back together after a long period apart, and get around to enjoying a bunch of fun activities while rekindling the flames of their romance.
