"Again & Again" as written by Greg Kurstin and Inara George....
Again and again and again
Do it again
Do it again
Again and again

It's a shame, it's a shame
It's a perfect shame
Creep under my door and we do it again, oh

It's easy and easy and easy and easy
And creepy and creepy and creepy, oh
Again, again, again, again

Again and again and again
Do it again
Do it again

Again and again and again
Do it again
Do it again

Again and again

Say my name, say my name, say my stupid name
It's stupid how we always seem to do it again, oh

You're so stupid and perfect
And stupid and perfect
I hate you, I want you
I hate you, I hate you, oh
Again, again, again, again

La, la, la
Again and again and again
Do it again
Do it again

Again and again and again
Do it again
Do it again

Again and again

General CommentI think it's about a secret relationship. The video sheds some light on this too. There is a lot of symbolism, such as the white peacock on the piano, which I found can represent Fidelity.

    "It's a shame, it's a shame
    It's a perfect shame
Creep under my door and we do it again, oh

It's easy and easy and easy and easy
And creepy and creepy and creepy, oh
    Again, again, again, again"

Sounds like it's too bad that they can't have their relationship out in the open for some reason and they have to creep around behind everyone's backs, which is easier than making it public and possibly causing problems. In the video they are together, but yet they act like they aren't.

"ay my name, say my name, say my stupid name
It's stupid how we always seem to do it again, oh

    You're so stupid and perfect
    And stupid and perfect
I hate you, I want you
I hate you, I hate you, oh
    Again, again, again, again"

I think this part is about the whole tug of war of not being able to have someone fully, and hating them for it, yet you still want them. And since they can't be together and have to act like they barely know one another, she just wants something, anything like something as simple as her name just to know that they are together and he knows and wants her.

And this is their cycle, they just keep going around &around without the relationship being able to go any further, because they don't allow it.

General Commentthe peacock = symbolizing pride.
its a relationship that could be torn by the environment around it. funny, because well, the girl that introduced me to this band, is in the EXACT situation as the song.

    either way. very bittersweet song.

General CommentThis song sorta seems to be filled with a friends with benefit connotation. Where the narrarator/singer seems to be in a love/hate relationship with the other person. They have nothing in common and don't get along, but when they're around each other, they just want to rip the other's clothes off. I think we've all been there, to some degree

General CommentShe's struggling with desire and self-control, and it's messin' up her self-esteem. She's conflicted about how perfect she feels with-in an imperfect situation. Perhaps the relationship is in limbo and it's driving her crazy, or she knows it's doomed and she continues to play it out. Either way, it's a perfect shame...

General CommentIt sounds to me like a constant back and forth ping pong battle of the sexes. Or just someone in a relationship getting into a fight and how they always get into it again and again but they love eachother anyway.

General CommentI take that back, there seems to be an awful lot of meanings behind the peacock. The Peacock also represents pride. Hmm, prehaps their pride is getting in the way of having an open relationship. Neither will open up first and say how they really feel.

General Commenti feel the song is like they keep fighting and then having make-up sex but it happens frequently.

General CommentI feel like it's about someone having sex with someone else, and getting tired of it's repetitveness. "Say my name /Say my name/Say my stupid name/It's so stupid and perfect" To me, that's like her saying she's so sick of the monotany of it all, of the sex. And she hates him for it, but at the same time she "loves" him because she wants this sporadic sex as well.

General Commenti think that this song is about the relationship between a woman and an older man. They have to keep thier relationship a secret because society views thier relationship as creepy. It's easy for them to like each other but it's creepy for them to actually go through with it and have a relationship.
