"Satellite" as written by and Sara Bareilles....
This one's for the lonely child
Broken hearted
Running wild
This was written for the one to blame
For the one who believes they are the cause of chaos in everything

You may find yourself in the dead of night
Lost somewhere out there in the great big beautiful sky
We're all just perfect little satellites
Spinning round and round this broken earthly life

This is so you know the sound
Of someone who loves you from the ground
Tonight you're not alone at all
This is me sending out my satellite call

This is so you'll know the sound
Of someone who loves you
From the ground
Tonight you're not alone at all
This is me sending out my
Satellite call

My InterpretationSimply said, this song is about a girl who's in love with someone who's a free spirit. He can't be held down because he's always on the move. He wants to see the world, but she can't go with him. She feels stuck waiting for him to come back even though she knows that holding on is useless because every time she feels him coming back, he's nowhere to be found.

General CommentUgh, ugh, UGH! Somebody changed these lyrics. These are NOT the correct lyrics to "Satellite." They are the correct lyrics to Sara's released song "Satellite Call," but not her unreleased song, "Satellite." They used to be here. Ugh!
