"Hollow Like My Soul" as written by Emilie Autumn and Mykel Boyd....
Hollow like my soul

You think that you'll get by
You will die
You will cry
When you think that you'll survive
Just don't try
Run and hide
My eyes are hollow like my soul

You think that you'll get by
You will die
You will cry
When you think that you'll survive
Just don't try
Run and hide
My eyes are hollow like my soul

Just as I was walking by
My soul died
My heart cried
When you think that you'll survive
Just don't try
Run and hide
My eyes are hollow like my soul

So many times I ask myself
So many times I wonder why
So many times I ask myself
So many times I wonder why

You think that you'll get by
You will die
You will die
When you think that you'll survive
Just don't try
Run and hide
My eyes are hollow like my soul
My eyes are hollow like my soul

Hollow like my soul
You think that you'll get by
You will die
You will cry
When you think that you'll survive
Just don't try
Run and hide
Run and hide
Run and hide

My InterpretationSome people believe the eyes are the door to the human soul, so here eyes are clear and seem empty and here soul is gone as well.

General CommentThis song supposedly has a reference to Shakespeare's King Lear, since the Earl of Gloucester's eyes were taken out, they were "hollow." Not sure if Emilie meant to refer to that or not but it makes sense.

General CommentI think of the Corinthian and his mouth-eyes! MWAH:O No I don't.
But I do like the start. I like the beginning and the sort-of-girlpowery feel to it, even if the girl has a hollow soul...
"Don't get in my way", it says.
