"Come Right Out And Say It" as written by and Matthew Arnold Thiessen....
I better rest my eyes 'cause I am growing weary of
This point you've been trying to make
So rather than imply, why don't you just verbalize
All the things that you're trying to say?

I guess it turned out so well
But I'm beginning to see that instead, it's trouble
Into a pattern, we fell
Of prolonging the inevitable

Why don't you come right out and say it?
Even if the words are probably gonna hurt
I'd rather have the truth than something insincere
Why don't you come right out and say it?
What it is you're thinking
Though I'm thinking, it's not what I wanna hear

I better check my pride
Because I was starting to think, I was onto something good
But things started to slide
And I'm thinking in retrospect, understanding that I misunderstood

Thought I could make up your mind
You had a decision locked up so tight, it couldn't be touched
Thought you were being so kind
By keeping your mouth sealed shut rather than just opening it up

Why don't you come right out and say it?
Even if the words are probably gonna hurt
I'd rather have the truth than something insincere
And why don't you come right out and say it?
What it is you're thinking
Though I'm thinking, it's not what I wanna hear

And now try to guess what goes on in your head
'Cause in your mind, I just might find all those things you left unsaid
Now try to make you not regret anything, later on, after I'm gone
You'll wish that you had listened to me, had listened to me

Why don't you come right out and say it?
Even if the words are gonna hurt we're better off this way
Why don't you come right out and say, come right out and say
What I know you're thinking anyway?

Why don't you come right out and say it?
Even if the words are probably gonna hurt
I'd rather have the truth than something insincere
Why don't you come right out and say it?
What it is you're thinking, oh, what is it you're thinking?

Why don't you?
What it is you're thinking
Though I'm thinking, it's not what I wanna hear

General CommentThis is the first I really listen to , I knew the promo was another.. anyway its really , really good...

They always chose their words to speak their minds, its awesome, not overwrought, completely honest and you can feel what they sung about (this case, a break up)

General Commentthis is a really awesome song, i love it a lot. i can really relate to it, it seems like people often express the exact same sentiments towards me... it made me realize that sometimes hiding behind a mask of smiles and 'whatevers' isn't always incredibly happy for the people im talking to, and sometimes, what they really want is my opinion.

General Commenti dont think its about a break up, it could be anything
like if you knew something about your friend and the friend knew it to but youre not willing to admit you know..

General Commentpersonally, i think it's about witnessing to someone that just won't listen, particularly the "But later on, after I'm gone, you'll wish that you had listened to me
Had listened to me" bit, it just seems apt...

General Commentlyrics-wise This song reminds of from end to end a little and i guess that would support hohojoe333's theory.

General CommentI think it basically about being blunt. I think it could be about any situtaion weather a break up or not but it is about something being held from someone. And it is saying instead of beating around the bush just come out and tell me the truth.

General CommentIt's about saying what you mean, not beating around the bush and just coming right up to someone with what you want to say, and not to cower away.

General Commenti can really relate to this song i think its about a couple where they were in love and one of them didnt feel the same but she didnt want to tell him and hurt him but he just wanted to kno rather then be lied to -Why don't you come right out and say it?
Even if the words are probably gonna hurt I'd rather have the truth than something insincere-

General CommentPersonally, I think it's about debating/witnessing to other people (esp. on the web - "I better rest my EYES")
I can really relate to this song, I know exactly what he means in the verses.

General CommentI'm going to have to say this is one of those amazing songs that will speak to almost any situation.

It's helping me make an enormous relationship decision right now. Relient K is AMAZING. They are one of my go-to bands for when I'm feeling down or I'm in a less than happy situation (the other being the Goo Goo Dolls).

Beautiful, full of wisdom, and showing an incredible amount of love for God.
