"Someone To Save You" as written by Eddie Fisher, Timothy John Myers and Ryan B Tedder....
Patience
Took you for everything
Looked like a diamond ring
You are so much longer
That made sense
Apathy in disguise
Crept on you like a spy
Hurt you in ways
You can't describe

Back to the start now
I wont let you go this way now

Honesty
Is what you need
It sets you free
Like someone to save you
Let it go
But hurry now
Theres undertow
And I don't want to lose you now

All right
Sit down and spill your heart

Lets start from the very start
'Cause I can see by your eyes
You're wasted
Your energy comes and goes
You taking your time, you know
Nothing can change what happened, and so

Back to the start now
I wont let you go this way now

Honesty
Is what you need
It sets you free
Like someone to save you
Let it go
But hurry now
Theres undertow
And I don't want to lose you now

Now
Now
Oh my
Look at your bright stars fade so
How much can you take?

Honesty
Is what you need
It sets you free
Like someone to save you
Let it go
But hurry now
Theres undertow
And I don't want to lose you now

Na Na Na Na Na Na Na
Na Na Na Na Na Na Na
Na Na Na Na Na Na Na
Na Na Na Na Na Na Na

I said to save you
Save you
Save you
Someone to save you
What you need is
Someone to save you

General CommentI definitely see this to be about friendship. It's so beautiful, I can't get over it.

To me its a friend observing another friend in a really bad state. And they can see that they're not being honest with themselves or anyone else. It's also really clear that if they just let go and be honest then that will be the ultimate release from their pain. And they just want them to hurry, because they're afraid of it getting even worse and losing their friend.

Thats how I see it. And I love this song!

General CommentIt's "Back to the start now" not "back to the star now"...

anyways, sounds like a friendship in turmoil...

General CommentI think that this song is a message to a friend who took advantage of another friend's patience and understanding to (possibly a problem or situation) and the friend is now telling him that he needs someone to save his friend. There is also the feeling that the friend who has reached his limit is only going to wait for so long "hurry though, there's undertow" speaks to me that he will not wait on this friend forever.

Good song though, going on one of my emotional playlists ;P

General CommentThis song is about a friend who is going through major turmoil and a serious problem. The friend is warning them to not be swallowed up by this problem "there is undertow." "I dont want to lose you" They want to be confided in before the friend become enveloped by this problem. The friend is slowly fading away "bright stars fade"etc...

General Commenti think this song about a friend being honest and patient with another friend who really needs it...it's an emergemcy that they know this information...to let go of what they are doing or he'll lose them ...like a friend pleading
