I feel the pain but I’m afraid to cry
All the time, desperate hiding tears
My life is boring and I count the days
On and on, woe is here to stay

Only if God would show a sign for me
Oh… Only if God could hold my begging hands

This endless torture’s building up my rage
Holding on, hide my agony
I’m getting weary just to be alive
All I want is help!!!

So, you dove into the dark beyond yourself?
Lost your way to find the surface once again
Insomnia will kill all your solemn nights… Oh!
Haunting your despair!!!

Sorrow made your life a living hell
Lights are fading
Caught inside the black-holed inner-self
Ego painted grey…

Insomnia will hold pleasures in a shell
And your defiant stare!!!

Sorrow made your life a living hell
Lights are fading
Caught inside the black-holed inner-self
Ego painted grey…

This song is about bipolar disorder. Here is a line by line breakdown:

I feel the pain but I’m afraid to cry All the time, desperate hiding tears

these two lines above indicate the fact that most people with bipolar disorder tend to repress their feelings

My life is boring and I count the days On and on, woe is here to stay

these two lines above talk about the symptom that most bipolar people get, where they feel like nothing is fun anymore, and as if life is just dragging on with no meaning.

Only if God would show a sign for me Oh… Only if God could hold my begging hands

^clearly a cry indicating that most bipolar people are disenlightened and see through religion

This endless torture’s building up my rage Holding on, hide my agony

^Also dealing with repression, as well as showing how repressing the painful feelings can lead to rage.

I’m getting weary just to be alive All I want is help!!!

Clearly a cry out from the pain, and claiming that life is pointless^

So, you dove into the dark beyond yourself? Lost your way to find the surface once again

^This expresses the confusion that is associated with the disorder

Insomnia will kill all your solemn nights… Oh! Haunting your despair!!!

These lines above talk about the insomnia that almost all bipolar people get (it's an actual symptom)

Sorrow made your life a living hell Lights are fading

^shows the feelings of depression and sadness, as well as feeling as if you're fading away

Caught inside the black-holed inner-self Ego painted grey…

And this^ above shows how bipolar people think badly of themselves. their ego is "painted grey".

Insomnia will hold pleasures in a shell And your defiant stare!!!

^more about being up all night at times

    Great song.

Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
