At first you're running, you're out of control
You think you're cunning, but you haven't a soul
It's time to leave, time to exit your whole
Right now, 'cause the ferryman is after his toll
Oh did you think you'd get into the fold
Or did you think that you would never get old
With lines of the deepest tales yet to be told
Only time will be the barter if you're meant to be sold

Cause down south there's a number of heroes
It makes you want it just a little bit more
Stuck in his mouth there's a terrible trio
Where comes the knowledge
There comes, there comes

[Coro]
I've seen a lot of
I've taken part of
I've seen a lot of you (you)

So who's to blame for the events of your life
With so so much shame and always under the knife
One has to think you made a terrible wife
I know it's hard to function through the pain and the strife
So real, a world spent enveloped in vice
Now deal with the card dealt, and all of it's price
Your heart is weighed to be proportion in size
Look down and see the underworld begin to arise

Cause down south there's a number of heroes
It makes you want it just a little bit more
Strapped down and reduced to a zero
Where comes the knowledge
There comes, there comes

[Coro]

So, don't get me started
Cause I've been to the bottom
I've seen it all fall through (through)

And though I've seen right through
I've descended into deeper depths than you
I know it's sad, but it's so true

So, don't get me started
Cause I've been to the bottom
I've seen it all fall through (through)

[Coro]

Youuu

General CommentSeems like this song is (at least superficially) about Hell and selling your soul.

"You think you're cunning, but you haven't a soul." -You don't have a soul because you sold it.
"Cause down south there's a number of heroes/It makes you want it just a little bit more" -Seeing the famous and powerful who have sold their souls to attain glory gave you motivation to do it as well.
"Stuck in his mouth there's a terrible trio." -This one was what made me notice the theme. In Dante's Inferno, Satan constantly devours Judas, Brutus, and Cassius inside of his three mouths. Those three are famous betrayers, thus the "terrible trio" phrase.

There's a lot more, but my fingers are getting tired. If you don't buy my explanation, try looking for all the words the song uses to indicate things going down, "e.g. look down and see the underworld begin to arise" or "I've been to the bottom. . . I've descended into deeper depths than you" and so on.
