You don't know what you do to me
I cannot speak, I cannot sleep
One more touch and I fall apart
There goes my fear, there goes my heart

Upside down in the afternoon
I'm almost gone, I'm coming soon
One more kiss and I start to reel
I wanna take, I wanna steal

You and me are the ones who will know when it's done
And if it's real let me know
When I pull, just let go
You and me are the ones who will know when it's done
And if it's real let me know
When I pull, just let go

I dreamt you met me in a local bar
We had some drinks, we crashed your car
You touched my thigh in the ambulance
You smiled and said, "This is our chance"

They tried to save us but it was no good
There's just two shadows where we stood
Whatever happens in the afteworld
You'll always be my summer girl

You and me are the ones who will know when it's done
And if it's real let me know
When I pull, just let go
You and me are the ones who will know when it's done
And if it's real let me know
When I pull, just let go!

General CommentI think in one interview Torq mentioned that the title means "The Little Death" in French. This is what the French literally mean when they speak of the big 'O' [FYI: an orgasm]. XD

General CommentI didn't realize that "Le Petit Mort" had been submitted before I did this, but on the Arts&Crafts Sampler Vol.3 I got with my BSS shirt, it says it's "Petit Mort" and I heard the lyrics a bit differently. Either way! This song is definitely about the big O.

General Comment«This is what the French literally mean when they speak of the big 'O'» I am francophone and I've never heard of it. Also, "Le Petit Mort" actually mean "The Little Dead".

General Comment"Le Petit Mort" is a French euphemism for an orgasm. (Literally, "Little Death")

Murderous, maybe it just isn't said in Quebec? Because I definitely have heard of it in my French classes, not to mention elsewhere in pop culture.

    General CommentYeah, probably.

But still, that is incorrect. "The Little Death" would be "La Petite Mort". It's unlikely any French would actually say "Le Petit Mort" referring to an orgasm.

General CommentI've heard the "le petit mort" thing as a euphemism for an orgasm, too. I think it's too widespread to refute.

General CommentThe song, and single, are called "Petite Mort". The song is misspelled in the title of this post. Murderous is absolutely correct.
