"Beauty Mark" as written by Neil Hannon, Nicolas Jean Michel Godin, Jarvis Branson Cocker and Jean Benoit Cla Dunckel Barbier....
I've got a beauty mark
Written on my skin
Close to my heart
My favorite part
My beauty mark

I keep it out of sight
Safe from the world outside
This old battle scar
This secret part
My beauty mark

This little death
This mark of sin
Forever printed on my skin

I'll keep it for you

This hidden place
This private part
This secret door into my heart

I'll keep it for you

This precious jewel
This darling bud
This tiny reservoir of blood

My beauty mark
I'll keep it for you

General CommentI feel like she's telling to her ex that there will always be a place for him in her heart even tough the broke up hurted her. This wound is kind of a good one, 'cause it remembers her of beautiful moments with him. Just a feeling, not sure how to describe it exactly, but that's it.

Maybe like she would say :

"It hurts me, but I'll remember 'cause it was from you and you're good souvenirs. And I still love you secretly, maybe even waiting for you to come back"
