"A Better Place" as written by and Richard Michael/deleo Patrick....
Let's begin
My favorite thing
We'll take a journey to a place within
So help me
To travel
Maybe the next wave will unravel

In my own skin
In my own heart
Wish you'd come in
But the place is blown apart
In my own skin
In my own heart
We have to rebuild
The hardest thing is just to start

[Chorus]
Make me a better place
It's filled with a little love, yeah
Make me a better place
It's filled with a little love, yeah

Screamin'
Dreamin'
We've taken a trip to where our thoughts unload
Dreamin'
Believin'
The place we ended up
Is where the truth is told

In my own skin
In my own heart
Wish you'd come in
But the place is blown apart
In my own skin
In my own heart
We have to rebuild
The hardest thing is just to start

[Chorus]

In my own skin
In my own heart
Wish you'd come in
But the place is blown apart
In my own skin
In my own heart
We have to rebuild
The hardest thing is just to start

[Chorus]

General CommentI don't know if the song has anything to do with this, but the pre-chorus makes me think of New Orleans. I think it's a song about starting over, and it's open enough to apply to many situations (like Goodbye). For Richard, it might've been about the recovery process.

Incredible tune. My favorite of theirs so far.

General CommentIt's about how he's a mess, and he wants the person the song is written for to help rebuild him. Like Steve Austin, but without the gadgets.
