"Pray" as written by and Craig Edward/frisby Mabbitt....
She's pulling out her eyelashes, from pain she bears.
I'm far from home, I'm all alone.
This hole is way too deep.
I've left behind my happy life,
And I'm still asking how I died.
Lay down, pray now.

I'm walking through the cold of night, so I can see your face.
At your window I will stand, your smell I will embrace.
My eyes in yours and yours in mine and now I know just how I died.
Lay down, pray now.

Oh.

As fire falls.
I've never made life before,
I've never had this before.

General Commentthis song is amazing, as is the band. Im not too sure what it is about, it almost sounds like the vocalist is singing about death from the victims eyes. He died, and how he watches his loved one suffer over his death.

General Commenti think its about making a mistake.
& hurting the ones you love.
embracing the last moments with them
cause the mistakes made cannot be corrected or taken back.

General CommentI Usually don't say this but I think the literal meaning is correct, it's about a dead husband watching his wife as she's crushed and heartbroken, and he feel that by leaving her, her life is worse than his, and he's just asking how he died. An example would be that this could be happening at the end of the sixth sense, where malcolm is talking 2 his wife as a ghost. So in this interpretation A boy brushed red is right.

    OR

It could be the figurative interpretation. He's hurt someone he loves and he walked away. When he sees her later, he realizes that she's emotionally wrecked by what he said/did and he only argued "What did I do?" which is said in the line "and I'm only asking how I died" and "Now I know just how I died". In this interpretation soarchyourback is right. So pick which one you think is the real one.
