I struggled and reconciled
These words of hope and freedom
And these minister's convictions
These verbal mausoleums

Vowels start emancipations
And holy carpe diems
The battles and bombshells I have levied on myself in the form of you
In the form of you

Now how can these all coexist
The heartbreak for the dying
When my trials gave way to failure
My silence gave way to crying

And now look at this destruction
Good and evil still are fighting
Leaving mangled half-hearts in their wake
They take their toll on you in the form of me
In the form of me

[Chorus:]
Well I've been an agent of the death of love
I've been an angel from above
Don't mind the way I feel
Please save yourself
And I've derailed your stability (priorities)
You've given that ability to me
(And) I can say I've done it well
But we've failed the final challenge, love
We're both so out of balance, love
Let's commit this suicide and save us all

Well my heart will not forgive me
For this unwilling extraction
Of your love from its controlling grips
This unpardonable action

We'll wage civil war between my heart and mind
The duelling factions never really got along so well
I'll sell a heart that still belongs to you
In the form of us two

But even my old heart's determined
Unforgiveness does not measure a capacity for hurt
And in that's volume of displeasure to the guilt that I would feel
Having killed you to have kept you
If you ever had an ounce of trust, believe me when I say you must be free
From this infernal me

(Chorus)

And, oh, I love you still
And I believe that you love me
And, oh, I love you still
And I believe that you love me
And I believe that you love me

Well it's a paradox of such a big proportion
I may never understand why anyone would ever bother to endeavor to
Make justified the columns of the right now and what's left forever
Underneath the layers of a heart that's partly me and partly you
I am partly you

For that precise equation
I must separate my feelings and our future for the sake of you
The sake of your own healing
If I let you be a part of me, my self-destructive peeling back
The layers of your love will take you down and I will not be that to you
No, I will not be that to you

(Chorus)

Oh we've failed the final challenge, love
We've been so in and out of love
Let's commit this suicide and save us all
Let's commit this suicide and save us all
Let's commit this suicide and save us all

    You're close!

"I struggle to reconcile..." "battle-scarred emancipations..." "tries gave way to failure / sighs gave way to crying..." "unpardonable action will wage civil war..." "in the form of a tune..." "even my own heart's eternal..." "measure (in) capacity for hurt and in its volume of displeasure..." "paradox of such epic proportions..." "self-destruction, peeling back..."

though, listening again, some of yours make more sense :)

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.
