"Still Beats Your Name" as written by and Mike A./dutkiewicz D'antonio....
Who knows how long I've been lost in the dark.Followed.
Closely by the footsteps of my failures.
What can I do to alter my perception of the way and the truth?
Let this burden drift away.
Who knows how long the void has swallowed me.
I only wish for nothing more than peace to find me.
My pledge remains faithful to you.
And my heart still beats your name
Drowning Once again. Will I live another day?
To reach the surface Let this burdon Drift away
Drowning Choking Fading life is this the moment where I leave the blackness
Is this the moment of my rebirth
Who knows how long I've been lost in the dark.Followed.
Closely by the footsteps of my failures.
What can I do to alter my perception of the way and the truth?
Drowning Once again. Will I live another day?
To reach the surface Let this burdon Drift away x2

General CommentThis song is friggin' amazing. Great vocals. Instrumentals. Everything. One of my favs by KSE.

I think this song is about still having love for someone, and not letting them go, despite them being seperated.
But I do agree with atr463's comment on the internal warfare.

    The proper lyrics are:

Who knows how long, I've been lost in the dark
Followed closely by the footsteps of my failures
What can I do, to alter my perception,
of the way and the truth?

    Let this burden drift away

Who knows how long, the void has swallowed me
I only wish for nothing more than peace to find me
How can this be? We've come so far
to let the weight destroy our grand design

    Let this burden drift away
My pledge remains faithful to you

And my heart still beats your name

    Drowning once again
    Will I live another day
    To reach the surface
    Let this burden drift away

    Drowning once again
    Will I live another day
    To reach the surface
    Let this burden drift away

    Drowning,
    Choking,
    Fading,
    LIFE!!

Is this the moment where I leave the blackness
Is this the moment of my......REBIRTH!?!?!

Who knows how long, I've been lost in the dark
Followed closely by the footsteps of my failures
What can I do, to alter my perception,
of the way and the truth?

    Drowning once again
    Will I live another day
    To reach the surface
    Let this burden drift away

    Drowning again
    Reach the surface
    Let it drift away

General CommentMy feel on the song is the internal war with yourself and the feel to keep your head right.

But with some lines and of course the title, still beats your name , you wander if its about the love for another and holding on?

I go more for the first one but the 2nd could be legit too.

General CommentSongs like make me realize how much I love Killswitch. I love how they can write songs that can appeal to different groups of people. Personally, as a Christian, I have taken so many positive messages from this band and I can't wait to see them live soon!
