"Hello Sadness" as written by and Benjamin Nichols....
You knew it was bound, to catch me again
Well hello sadness
My old friend
Well it's been awhile
But now I see
You're back in style
Well sit down and rest, I ain't goin' no where
I feel the pain
Like a shot from a gun
Feel it deep in my gut
I'm done tryin to run
I'm given in, I'm given up
I'm tired of the fight
Well you got my corner
To know it ain't right
Well ill surrender tomorrow if I live through the night.
Well you got my corner
Hell I know it ain't right,
Well Ill surrender tomorrow if I live through the night

General CommentThese lyrics hit home for me but I guess you either relate or you dont. You can keep on livin your life as if nothing is truely wrong and maybe temporarily numb your sadness through "alternative" means but every now and then "that sadness" whatever your own personal issues are, will eventually catch up to you and hit you like a brick if you let it and get temporarily consumed in your own sorrow if only for a moment...maybe just between that next round! lyrics- "I'll surrender tomorrow if I live through the night"
Ben and the boys of Lucero are a very rare breed of musicians...a dying breed! Tuff to compare their music to another band cause they own it!
