People are strange, thats why we're strangers
Words go in, they don't come out
The forest is big, that's why we need rangers
If you got it wrong babe, you're allowed

I can't believe you knew I'd stay distant
I can't believe I know you're still here
Once you are seen, it all becomes mystic
The lightning of love full form appears

On my hands, on my knees
I've buried my burden deep
Up the stairs, unlock the door
To the suffocation keep

Honey you there? Honey you listening?
Bodies combine, and flesh repeats
Still there's a square in the distance
It was composed while I was asleep

On my hands, on my knees
I've buried my burden deep
Up the stairs, unlock the door
To the suffocation keep

Keep
Keep

People are strange, thats why we're strangers
Words go in, they don't come out
The forest is big, that's why we need rangers
If you got it wrong babe, you're allowed

there are a lot of people in the world who are and will always remain strangers. someone who believes that EVERYONE has to be a stranger, however, is wrong.

I can't believe you knew I'd stay distant
    I can't believe I know you're still here
Once you are seen, it all becomes mystic
The lightning of love full form appears

He can't believe that someone would want to be with someone who they know is not going to open up. He's scared of "love in full form" because it means letting someone else in completely.

On my hands, on my knees
    I've buried my burden deep
Up the stairs, unlock the door
    To the suffocation keep

He has deep fears, secrets whatever it be, that he has buried deep. He opens up to no one but hopes the person on the other side of the relationship can open him up. he feels he is suffocating keeping it in.

Honey you there? Honey you listening?
    Bodies combine, and flesh repeats
Still there's a square in the distance
It was composed while I was asleep

Despite the physical (bodies combine and flesh repeats), he feels they are not yet connected in their souls. They do not know each other on a deeper level. No amount of the physical will suffice. But he sees hope for that connection in the future. Or at least, he dreams about it.

Beautiful lyrics and composition. A song I think more people should know about.
