I'm divided with decisions
I'll call you through the permanent
and carry the rise and fall of man
to stomach the stabs

I'll worry if I need to
a book I never care to open up
this city ablaze, your body aflame
I said to pull out

If I'm dead
then you're all right
I'll start killing when the dog starts asking to
I'll start killing when the dog starts asking to

Your eyes bear curious
and I'll show it if the word is true
I'll chisel the end in skin and bone
and toast to stone

I'm quicker than the cure
I'm sicker than the illness
I'll bury the cautious foot of man
through a hole in your hair

If I'm dead
then you're all right
I'll start killing when the dog starts asking to
I'll start killing when the dog starts asking to

but she said you're the one for me
and he said
Baby I'm not who you thought I'd be
and she said you're the one for me
and he said
Maybe I'm not who you thought I'd be
Maybe I'm not who you thought I'd be

So

Run like hell
Run like hell
I can't believe they're coming for me
Run like hell
Run like hell
Your mouth's my host a gunshot smoking

Run like hell
Run like hell
I can't believe they're coming for me
Run like hell
Run like hell
Your mouth's my host a gunshot smoking

This isn't PFI. Even if Claudio did it, he never confirmed it so much did he? I really don't think this and Your Love belong here do they?

this song and your love were the first songs I downloaded under the name of the prize fighter inferno a lonnnng time ago. i'm pretty sure they belong here because then it would have just been an acoustic coheed thing. atleast that's the way i look at it.

"In 2004, a leaked recording of several In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3 acoustic demos made its way to several P2P networks. Among these were a few Prize Fighter Inferno demos, including "Blood Machine," "Run Like Hell," and "Your Love" (a The Outfield cover)." That's what wikipedia said :O

Eh, I don't care if it's a PFI or a Coheed & Cambria song, it kicks ass. 'Nuff said.

It was on the official PFI myspace for a while before anyone knew what PFI was, so I'm gonna assume it is in fact it is a PFI song. Even though it's not on the CD.

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
