If I ever get back up on, get back up on my feet
You'd better look out
But for now, I guess that I keep
Going over this same old empty ground
Some day I'll come around
Some day I'll come around

We went out and we met with the queen of California
And she said that we have a place here at the home of the hits for you
But she ain't called back yet through all these afterglow years
And we go in and out of ears
Days get thrown into a pile
In and out of ears
Through all these afterglow years

I see all your frowning fathers
I see all your idiot sons
Ones wrapped up in bed sheets
Hoping that the morning will come
I'm gonna write a postcard and send it out to everyone I see
Tell 'em not to change a thing
Tell 'em not to change a thing
And you'll be all right

General Commenthahaha i love how barely anybody pays attention to this band - they are retired and only made one full-length CD but it is godly and this is one of the best on it... i'm in love with this band and how NOBODY i know has heard of them, except the one person who introduced me to them. i'm guessing this won't be read by many people.... but whatever. kudos to yeh for not listening to one of my favorite CDs of all time!

    peace

General CommentI think the second line is wrong.
Also, I like to think it's "founding fathers" rather than "frowning fathers" -- it seems more clever that way in my head hah..
