"1000 BPM" as written by and Hansen....
Electronic eye vision, astromagnetic
Corrupted files from galactical planets
Write a new genetic code
Thoughts get transported
From neanderthal skulls
To digital food malls
Telemarketing people
With cellular headsets on their skulls
Selling you wisdom
From a Plexiglas prism
Biochemical jism
Hits you with its rhythm
They act like Earth
Was a terrestrial prison
A zoo for humans
Put their cities into ruins
Now we can feel what we're doin'
Renew the stratosphere in plastic
Wonder out aloud, spastic
What else can the dust try to tell us?
Comin' to you
One thousand beats per minute
Comin' to you
One thousand beats per minute
Comin' to you
One thousand beats per minute
Comin' to you
One thousand beats per minute

Categorize the Antichrist
With credentials
And a backstage pass
Gasoline in a flask
Tried to pull off his mask
But there was really his face
Repackaged meat from a plant
Security cameras strapped to his back
Failed prescriptions, antidotes
With media in a quarantine submission
Consultants revoke their souls
With unanimous votes
Portions of the proceeds
Go to chain store victims
In remission conditions
With remodeled kitchens
Comin' to you
One thousand beats per minute
Comin' to you
One thousand beats per minute
Comin' to you
One thousand beats per minute
Comin' to you
One thousand beats per minute

Honestly, at least check on beck.com before you post one of his songs...

This sounds like it came from Midnight Vultures. It's a totally fun and stupid song about how chaotic and senseless the world is becoming.

General Commenti just think its beck being beck...he has a lot of songs that mean stuff. this is not one of them. this is what i call an "art" song. the album mutations is filled with meaning.

General CommentI'm pretty sure that this song is just Beck's big "fuck you" to society.

It's pretty one-dimensional as far as Beck songs go.

General CommentHoly shit... That was unexpected. I kinda like this... Sounds like him ranting about society.

General Commentif you ask me, it seems like a big critique of scientology. from what i know, beck is kind of estranged? maybe not anymore? but this album def. feels like he trying to let people know whats really going on with this cult thru (hidden messages?) lol..beck/scientology conspiracy. OMG SHRINERS!

General CommentYes, it sounds like a rant about society, fitting perfectly with the dense production of the (great, by the way) album. A lot of weird noises (I particularly love the distorted beat that comes between the first "1000 bpm" refrain and the second verse) and rap-like vocals delivering many digital era references with the right amount of axniety and anger.

    Short and sweet.
