"My World" as written by Chris Waters, Cyndi Goodman and Tommy Lee James....
I'm not coming back
I'm not gonna react
I'm not doing shit for you
I'm not sitting around
While you're tearing it down around us
I'm not living a lie
While you swim in denial
Cause your already dead and gone
You'll leave me out on the curb
Just like everyone
Else before you

Welcome to my world
Where everyone I ever need
Always ends up leaving me alone
Another lesson burned
And I'm drowning in the ashes
Kicking
Screaming
Welcome to my world

I don't care what you think
I'm not seeing a shrink
I'm not doing this again
I'm not another
Student or a mother
To take your shit out on
So lets see what you got
And lets see what you're not
And whatever else you pretend
You've defended my intentions
Long enough

So here I am again
In the middle of the end
The choice I wish Id made
I always make too late.

General CommentAccording to Shimon "The song 'My World' is just about life, the inevitability of the people that you care about leaving, for whatever reason; not because not because they...not because they want they want to hurt you, but because that's what they have to do, whether they die, pass or you know, they move on, they move on with their life and it doesn't include you because of whatever reason, it doesn't have anything to do with you. And it's just a way of life."

General CommentI think this is about a guy who's basically had enough of his girlfriend, or maybe even a close friend.
He feels like whoever the person in question is has already abandoned him
    ("here everyone I ever need,
Always ends up leaving me alone)
Just by their actions and decisions towards him, though they may still be considered together or best friends.
So when the person in question starts suggesting things, probably thinking that the guy just isn't thinking well
(I dont care what you think
    Im not seeing a shrink
    Im not doing this again)
He already knows what he's doing, so he has no need to listen to what they're saying, not that he probably would, anyway.

(So let's see what you got
And let's see what you're not
    And whatever else you pretend
    You've defended my intentions
    Long enough)
As if he's saying that, "What are you really, and what do you want?" Sort of an issue of trust, wondering what's been real and what hasn't.

    (So here I am again
In the middle of the end
The choice I wish I'd made
    I always make too late.)
It's most likely him saying that he wishes that he made the decision to rid himself of the person in question a lot sooner, which could have a lot of logic behind it.

I would go in depth more, but I'm running short on time. Maybe later.

Anyway, awesome song! More people should hear it.

General Commentthis song has great meaning to me, actually. from my point of view*caughexpierencecaugh* its a friendship gone horriably out of control. instead of always being there for each other you make each other into your personal crumbling wall. you see, theres one person who has started this whole life of self destruction and the other is always on the other end of the phone shouting advice that she neglects to hear. because the 'advice giver' has allready been down this road/still on this road and knows what to do. either way, the 'self destructor' isnt listening. just living like no one else will find out and no one else cares. this goes on for a while, untill the 'advice giver' becomes the crumbling wall. the 'self destuctor' has taken the 'advice giver' down with them. and eventually theres no more wall to hide behind. -- update-- two years later and they are no longer best friends because the 'advice giver' has been to rehad twice, and the 'self destructor' cleaned up on her own.

General Commenti think this song is about how he feels everyone leaves him.
he thinks it is becase he makes the choices he make.
the wrong choices he makes leads everyone to believe he is not sane.
and he is saying he never learsn his lesson.
    i love this song.
    it is just so pwerful.
