Kyrie Elesion
Gratia tua illis succurrente
Mereantur evadere judicium
Fac eas de morte transire ad vitam
Et in memoria aeterna erit

Lord, have mercy
By the help of Thy grace
May they be enabled to escape the judgement
Grant them to pass over from death to life
And they shall live in memory everlasting.

[Soprano Solo:]
Tantus labor non sit cassus
Ne me perdas

(Such travail must not be in vain
Do not let me be lost)

[Tenor Solo:]
Cor Contritum quasi cinis
Quem patronum rogarturus?
ne me perdas

(My heart is as though ground to ashes
To which protector shall I appeal?
Do not let me be lost)

This song is a beautiful ballad, it give me an image of entering a forsaken cathedral... monolithic doors open as I am blinded by light. After the 'release' I am drawn inside... but like a dream I cannot describe how it looks.

The meaning itself is made rather clear by the lyrical translation above. No explanation is really needed, although the imagery it brings to my mind is the grounds for my comment.

General CommentI absolutely love the song, and it's funny, because I found it by accident.

But I want to know if anyone knows any songs like it. Because I love the sound of it, and the fact it's in Latin makes it even more appealing. So if you know of one that sounds like it, i would love for you to tell me what it is.

MemoryWhenever & everytime I listen to this song together with "The Denouement of I Am Ghost" gives me an unexplainable fear and COLD SPOTS.

    The song is haunting.
