"Jackie Will Save Me" as written by and Jeremy Dawson....
Early morning
Summer soul and solace
The world is watching..

Vicious circle
Washing virgin halo
You're in agreement..
You can understand

Enter static
A grey mistake
So you both come crashing over ground
New machines have born their notion
What can I say...you're crazy

Jackie, what's the problem'
You're a lady
You can stop them
Where's your baby?
He's alone...

Your Kennedy

All the constant
Super color motion
Burning senses

I think you're slipping
American coca-cola
Sugar sweetness

General CommentActually, I'm not quite sure if it is about Jackie and JFK....I'm thinking it's about JFK jr and his wife Carolyn (and her sister). JFK jr died in a plane crash in summer of 1999, just 5yrs after his mother.

The lyrics about "static" and a "grey mistake" make sense because the cause of jr's plane crash was a result of the grey haze that made it difficult to distinguish the horizon from the water. He thought he was turning the plane around but instead went crashing down to "earth"...(actually it was water).

The lyrics about "new machines" and being "crazy" also make sense when you consider JFK jr was not an experienced pilot and had not finished his certification for using the plane's instruments. Since he had NEVER flown at night or even without an instructor before, many thought he was crazy taking such a risk.

If you take all that into account, the song could be about Jackie's ghost coming back to save her son from this plane crash. "you can stop them, where's your baby? He's alone. Kennedy ,your Kennedy"

I think that last line about "you're slipping american suger sweetness 1963" could just be a statement about the end of an era. 1963 being the year of JFK's assisination, was also the begining of a downward spiral for America. Soon after Johnson finished his term, the Nixon/Watergate scandal took place. We haven't been the same ever since....no more Camelot!

General Commentooooohkay! while and after leaving that last comment, i went and looked up some stuff about the kennedies. did anybody remember that Robert Kennedy, JFK's brother, ran for president against Lyndon Johson? When Jackie Kennedy said she believed the same thing would happen to Robert as did to JFK. All throughout his campaign, there were rumors of contracts to kill Robert. And then he was assasinated. I don't know. Maybe the song is about how all the men in her life died tragically, starting with JFK? It was eerie to read about Robert Kennedy, i didn't know any of that stuff, really, and it seemed to kind of go with the song. here's the link if anybody wants to check it out:

General CommentObviously the song is about Jackie Kennedy and JFK's assasination, but I know there has to be a little bit more to it, but I dont quite see it yet.

General Commenti think it's about how jackie kennedy could've stopped JFK from going out, so he wouldn't have gotten shot.
and i guess about how she kind of had this feeling something bad was going to happen.

General Commentwow ur interpretations r pretty deep. I think we'v established it's about Jackie Kennedy, but what's the relevance of her baby? i'm not American and don't exactly know anything about American history. But then again it's also about JFK's death (eg. where it mentions 1963).

General Commentidk what 13 black roses is talking about....
this song might not be the most popular on the album but its one of my favorites.
this song is also nice cus it seems u can here carah's voice in a more raw state...and she really does hav a good voice.
i especially like the beginning two verses and the "you're slipping.....1963" part.
soo yeah enough ranting from me.
