Wherever the wind blows, you will find me there
Standing exactly where I want to be

I hear a voice in the autumn breeze
Telling me that I need to leave
But I can't fly with these broken wings
The leaves, they move like poetry
Its all still such mystery
But I can finally hear the melody
I've been here for so long
I think it's time I moved on
So tell me where it is that I need to be

Wherever the wind blows, you will find me there
Standing exactly where I want to be
Wherever the wind blows, you will find me there
Standing exactly where I want to be

Wasting time here is killing me
Waiting here for the remedy
So I can hear the sound of angels sing
I need something to carry me to a place that I've never seen
Cause right here I've seen all there is too see
I've been here for so long
I think it's time I moved on
So tell me where it is that I need to be

Wherever the wind blows, you will find me there
Standing exactly where I want to be
Wherever the wind blows, you will find me there
Standing exactly where I want to be

Well I've been waiting, waiting for the day
So can you take me, carry me away?
Carry me away
You elevate me
How far can you take me, take me?
Carry me away

Wherever the wind blows, you will find me there
Standing exactly where I want to be
Wherever the wind blows, you will find me there
Standing exactly where I want to be
Wherever the wind blows, you will find me there
(Where I want to be)
Standing exactly where I want to be

General CommentThis is one of my favorite Pillar songs. It seriously rocks.
But I think it's about a man who knows he's about to die and he's just waiting to go to Heaven.
"I've been here for so long
    I think it's time I moved on"

However, he has someone he truly cares for that's still very much alive and he can see the pain she's feeling because of his soon-to-be-death but he reassures her:
    "Wherever the wind blows
    You will find me there
Standing exactly where I want to be
    Wherever the wind blows
    You will find me there
Standing exactly where I want to be"
He wants her to know that he will always be with her no matter what and to listen for the wind because that will be his love.

This truly is a beautiful song and there are some other references to my meaning, such as:

"Wasting time here is killing me
    Waiting here for the remedy
So I can hear the sound of angels sing
I need something to carry me
To a place that I've never seen
Cause right here I've seen all there is too see"
This is about him waiting for the remedy to whatever is killing him but he's so tired and so he's begging God to take him. He's seen everything there is to see on Earth and just wants to see his new home which is of course Heaven.

"Well I've been waiting, waiting for the day
So can you take me, carry me away
    Carry me away
    You elevate me
How far can you take me, take me
    Carry me away"
Lastly, this is actually about the Lord lifting him to Heaven as when he takes you to Heaven you are elevated there. Awesome song.

General CommentI just got back from seeing Pillar in concert, and he said that the quote "God is like the wind, you can't see Him, but you can feel Him" inspired him to write this song.
