Midnight, I've fallen fast asleep
It's daylight, I can't remember anything
There's so many questions that get in the way about the place
I keep sleeping awake
So wake me and tell me what you see
Let me walk with you in the streets
The streets with no name cause I feel far away
I always fail to remember

Why do I feel like I'm slipping away?
Why do I feel so far away?
Wake me up inside my dreams
Just in time for me to believe

Another morning chasing lies
After another evening chasing skies
So make tonight my reality
So tomorrow I remember everything

Why do I feel like I'm slipping away?
Why do I feel so far away?
Wake me up inside my dreams
Just in time for me to believe
Why do I feel like I'm slipping away?
Why do I feel so far away?
Wake me up inside my dreams
Just in time for me to believe

Why do I feel like staying awake when I fall asleep?
Why do I feel like staying awake when I fall asleep?
I don't want to feel
It's hard to believe these things I can't see
So I need to wake up inside my dreams

Why do I feel like I'm slipping away?
Why do I feel so far away?
Wake me up inside my dreams
Just in time for me to believe
Why do I feel so far away?
Why do I feel I'm slipping away?
Wake me up inside my dreams
Just in time

General CommentWe all have problems that we go through, the first verse in my thoughts means that he is acknowledging that something isn't what is used to be and needs to walk, figure it out. The verse's is the main explicit thoughts he's feeling as he's walking. The next verse says that it's the next day, or series of major periods that nothing is the same. Verse again, same thing. Yea this is what I feel it means.

General CommentInsomnia and the fear of reality not meeting your dream's expectations are what I interpret from this song. He cries to wake up inside his dreams, hoping that the dream will be reality, when in fact it's not. It's about slipping away from a touch of reality into a realm of unreachable desires and dreams.

General CommentFrom the chorus, I always thought it was about disassociation. Which is when someone feels like they're in a dream, when really they're in reality. The verses thuogh, seem to actually be about some sort of dream he is having that is causing him to be bothered for some reason. Maybe a dream about the fear of the unknown? I don't know.

General CommentI think the songs talks about the feeling of slipping away from God. HE is asking God to wake him from his "dreams" before it's too late.
