I hate feelin' like this
I'm so tired of tryin' to fight this
I'm asleep and all I dream of is waking to you

Tell me that you will listen
Your touch is what I'm missin'
And the more I hide I realize I'm slowly losin' you

Comatose
I'll never wake up without an overdose of you

I don't wanna live
I don't wanna breathe
'less I feel you next to me
You take the pain I feel
(Wakin' up to you never felt so real)
I don't wanna sleep
I don't wanna dream
Cause my dreams don't comfort me
The way you make me feel
(Wakin' up to you never felt so real)

I hate livin' without you
Dead wrong to ever doubt you
But my demons lay in waitin'
Tempting me away
Oh how I adore you
Oh how I thirst for you
Oh how I need you

Comatose
I'll never wake up without an overdose of you

I don't wanna live
I don't wanna breathe
'less I feel you next to me

You take the pain I feel
(Wakin' up to you never felt so real)
I don't wanna sleep
I don't wanna dream
Cause my dreams don't comfort me
The way you make me feel
(Wakin' up to you never felt so real)

Breathing life
Waking up
My eyes
Open up

Comatose
I'll never wake without an overdose of you

I don't wanna live
I don't wanna breathe
'less I feel you next to me
You take the pain I feel
(Wakin' up to you never felt so real)
I don't wanna sleep
I don't wanna dream
Cause my dreams don't comfort me
The way you make me feel
(Wakin' up to you never felt so real)

Oh how I adore you
Wakin' up to you never felt so real
Oh how I thirst for you
Wakin' up to you never felt so real
Oh how I adore you

Oh
The way you make me feel
Wakin' up to you never felt so real

    My Opinion

I love skillet. One of the main things i like about them is theyre songs do have the two meanings that can be interpreted however you like. Like if you are not religious you can still like the song by relating it to a relationship. this was the song that got me into skillet and i have not found a song i dont like by them at all.

    Song Meaning

Just because a band/artist is a christian doesn't mean all the songs they release will be dealing with that religion, though it will have strands that connect the songs to that religion. The most common meaning to me is a person trying to live on his/her own after losing someone they used as a pillar of strength. "I don't wanna live, I don't wanna breathe Unless I feel you next me" this line clearly shows that he/she is missing someone of great importance. Maybe that's why I can relate so well to this song I recently lost someone I loved dearly and I find it hard to even get up and go on with my day knowing that the person is gone.

Comatose. What a beautiful song. A song that speaks to most people as a time of recovering from waking up from a deep coma. I believe that Skillet did a great job on this one, seeing that it's one of their most popular songs ever released. I believe that it is a song about God, on the personal level, because of what is described. "I don't want to live, I don't want to breath, less I feel you next to me, you take the pain I feel." There could be "alternate" meanings, but God is seen as the one who takes our pain from us, through his son Jesus. He brings those in darkness (like a coma) into the light and those who come to the light of forgiveness and salvation (which Jesus offers through his death on the cross) so this song illustrates how powerful coming out of a coma (darkness or hard times) only to see God's love and light, is something truly unfathomable. That is really what the song means to me. He is always with me, and in all honesty, I agree with the lyrics "I don't want to live, and I don't want to breathe unless I feel God next to me." I have been forgiven of sins past present and future, and now I can live in the light and no longer expierience the Comatose I once lived in. SUCH a POWERFUL SONG.

Comatose-The state of being in a coma or in a deep sleep.

The song is about how you can be desensitized to sin just like being in a coma. God is the cure to living in a dark world (I'll never wake up without an overdose of you.)

Seriously, if you think this song's not about God, what or who is it about??

The singer of this song is basically saying that he is fully reliant on God, and has given his whole life to God, to the point that he doesn't want to do anything in his life without knowing that God is at his side. God can take away your pain and comfort you in any situation if you trust him.

This song could be interpreted two different ways. Most of their songs are, and that's why I love them. If could be interpreted as a Christian song, where he's singing about God. It could also be interpreted as being about a failing relationship, and he feels he can't live without her.

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.
