"In The Morning" as written by Anesha Birchett, Antea Birchett, Mary J. Blige and Dernst Emile....
Too young
Too young
Too young
Too young
Too young
Oh, too young
Oh, too young
Oh, too young
Oh, too young

Girl, the night's not over,
We're not getting older
They can't chase forever.

'Cause in the morning
There's a million years to choose from.
You don't care
Just take one.
Leave a place to rest on.

Because you're too young
Oh, you're too young
Oh, you're too young
Oh, you're too young
Oh, you're too young
Oh, too young
Oh, too young
Oh, too young
Oh, too young
Oh, too young
Oh, too young
Oh, too young
Oh, too young
Oh, too young
Oh, too young

There goes another morning
Just wrap it up
We own it
This night's so scared we own it
And in the morning
Why'd you tell me
That it's over?
You think you'd do better
To stick with someone older.

Because I'm too young
Too young
Too young
Too young
Too young
Too young
Too young
Too young
Too young
Too young
Too young

Oh yeah, we're too young
Oh yeah, we're too young
Oh yeah, we're too young
Oh yeah, we're too young
Oh yeah, we're too young
Oh yeah, we're too young
Oh yeah, we're too young
Oh yeah, we're too young
Oh yeah, we're too young
Oh yeah, we're too young
(In the morning)
(In the morning)
(In the morning)
(In the morning)
(In the morning)
(In the morning)
(In the morning)
(In the morning)
(In the morning)
(In the morning)
Too young
Too young
Too young
Too young
Too young
Too young
Too young
Too young

General Commentone of my favorite songs of all time. meshes the more modern sound with the soothing vocals. plus the cool breathing that rabash said. I think he was going out with this girl, but she wanted to break up, so she could go out with an older "more mature" guy. he's sort of telling her that they're too young to think about these things so seriously. just have fun and don't grow up so fast

    And in the morning
    Why'd you tell me
    That it's over?
    You think you'd do better
    To stick with someone older.

    Because I'm too young

General Commenti fell that it is about a guy that just got dumped by his girlfriend for an older guy...
he feels that they are both naive (too young)

    1) for going out with her in the first place

    2) for breaking up with him for an older guy

i can relate to this song because i do like a much older guy... and it is naive of me to do so :(

General CommentI must say i agree with gasolinesunsets. I think it's a tribute to the Phoenix song 'too young'. All the signs are there, just listen to them both

General CommentPerhaps it's about teenage drinking/partying? The music video suggests it, and the lyrics makes sense.

    My Interpretation
I thought that the chorus had said 'I'd do ya' and the song referenced to having good sex in the morning.
Once I read the lyrics, I was disappointed.

General Commentinstead of "the nights so scared we own it" it sounds like he's saying "the night's a skill, we hone it" as in honing a skill or becoming better at it...
Am I the only one who thinks it sounds like that?
