"You're the Dream, Unicorn!" as written by and Morgan Henderson Jordan Blilie....
This telepathic hangover
Gnaws the nipples off my neck
When you suck off those machine guns
Now tell me mister, what do you expect?
I crawled through 60,000 yards
Of carnival graveyards
Witches with obscene riches
Chasing my mirage, chasing my mirage

I'm the unicorn with tar teeth chewing spandex nightmares
My spine's a limousine that drives all night but never goes anywhere
I'm the unicorn with tar teeth chewing spandex nightmares
My spine's a limousine that drives all night but never goes anywhere

If I sang instead of screamed
When you crushed me with your Corvette
Would you trade your jet for a microphone
And record the opera of deathbeds?

I'm the unicorn with tar teeth chewing spandex nightmares
My spine's a limousine that drives all night but never goes anywhere
I'm the unicorn with tar teeth chewing spandex nightmares
My spine's a limousine that drives all night but never goes anywhere
Stare into the gruesome lights all night and never see a fucking thing
We count weddings on our fingertips and wonder why our love's so cheap

Vegas, you're my dream unicorn
Summer, dress so apocalyptic
Vegas, you're my dream unicorn
Summer, dress so apocalyptic

In glossy treetops teens clap while they kiss
In neon pastures pin-ups hook to your chest
Out on the streets at night the money's well spent
And pissed-off babies turn to pissed-off children

General CommentAt first glance... and I could be completely wrong... this could be about Las Vegas. Obviously, I suppose, since he says "Vegas".

Either way, I could see that as being a theme throughout, a lot of the lyrics seem to describe some kind of spectacle that could easily be the Las Vegas strip, and a sense of hopelessness at being trapped within said spectacle.

...but there's probably more to it than that.

General CommentMust be about Vegas. "Chasing my mirage" I'm guessing is a play on words- mirage from the heat of Las Vegas, and the Mirage hotel/casino.

General CommentSong title could be a reference to the film 'blade runner'.
Harrison ford dozes off and dreams of a unicorn gallopping through a forest.

General CommentI've been in Vegas for 17 years, and this is the best depiction of this shitty city I've ever read/heard... haha.

My Interpretationyea it definitely seems like it is describing vegas, and using vegas as a symbol to portray the decay meaningful love/sex among other values.

especially the last few lines: up in "glossy treetops" (skyscraper/big hotels) kids having sex, and "Out on the streets at night the money's well spent" which i think is referring to prostitution. all this sleeping around yields unwanted/unloved kids: "pissed-off babies turn to pissed-off children".

there are a lot of symbols of modern/synthetic material things and gluttony, which seems to be a trend in a lot of blood brothers songs. i.e. "corvette" "jet" "limousine" "neon" "spandex" "obscene riches" "carnival". these things are also very characteristic of las vegas. 60,000 yards is roughly the diameter of las vegas (the whole city) and carnival graveyards seem to pretty obviously describe casinos.

the unicorn symbol doesnt seem as clear to me, but here is my hypothesis: a unicorn is sort of an ideal, magical creature that many fantasize about. las vegas, or sin city, is a sort of 'paradise' for those that fantasize about living in sin, such as lust, greed, superficiality and all that jazz. however this 'paradise' is quite appalling when the fantasy of a 'sin city' is actualized in the form of las vegas. thus the unicorn has tar teeth (black, street-like teeth) that chew up spandex nightmares. spandex nightmares is a metaphor for las vegas life in general, a reference i think, to performers who wear spandex costumes.
