A photograph you took
sits in the corner of my room
I'd throw it away
but it's too soon to let you go

But I've made my plans
I will erase you from my mind
I only need a little time
to let you go

I throw my keys into the basket
and make my way to bed
it's funny how the ritual of things
can help to clear your head

And my attempts at love
are not worth speaking of
But my dear friend
I'll try again ...

ba, ba, ba, bah

General CommentThis was the last song on The Summer EP if you got the hard copy (the free version had 5 songs on it; the hard copy had those five plus A Different Light and My Dear Friend).

My InterpretationI believe it's about trying to let go of somebody you once loved; however, it is difficult. It isn't instantaneous and needs some time unfortunately.
