You'd better learn
That this will not blow over and over
High above they're taking over you
And you should know
I will not let you go, let you go

What is my body worth?
Was there a price set before?
There's something greater there
What is my body worth?
Was there a price set before?
Iit's not gonna change you

We walk along but never turn to see what we have done
(what we have done)
We chose our move so carefully for oyu
(carefully for you)
I will not let you go, let you go

What is my body worth?
Was there a price set before?
There's something greater there
What is my body worth?
Was there a price set before?
It's not gonna change you

What is my body worth?
Was there a price set before?
It's not gonna change you

I believe in nothing
Why believe in nothing at all
I believe in nothing
Why believe in nothing at all

What is my body worth?
Was there a price set before?
There's something greater there
What is my body worth?
Was there a price set before?
It's not gonna change you

What is my body worth?
What is my body worth?

General CommentI think this song is about how we put a "price tag" on ourselves and how there's a life there that is far too valuable to put a price on. He also asks why should we believe in nothing. Maybe he finds this worth from God (I don't think he does) or maybe he just believes that we should believe in something. A lot of different things it could mean.

General CommentActually I find it kind of funny... because I feel like this song is how my relationship with my girlfriend is now...

So how I personally interpret it is that the girl is treating him like crap, (He is asking her what his "body is worth") and she doesn't seem to see what she's doing to him ("We walk along but never turn to see what we have done"). But (in my case at least), he still loves her and doesn't want to leave her ("I will not let you go, let you go"). Another issue is that she keeps doing what shes doing over and over again ("Its not gonna change you") and it's as if there was a "price set before", showing that it's almost as if there's only a maximum amount of respect that she is treating him with.

Plus, he is trying hard to do everything to make the relationship work ("We've chose our steps carefully for you"), also showing that he was exclusively making the relationship work for her.

With the title (It's Far Better To Learn), I'm taking a long jump here, but I feel like it's saying how its better to learn from your mistakes, than for them to go unnoticed. Of course though, that's more of an obvious statement... Possibly the title is just emphasizing it?

Anyways, I understand that this can be religious, but I saw a comment saying how other band members try to make it be relatable to other situations.

Lucky for me though, my girlfriend and I aren't in as much shit as what I interpreted the song to be x]

General CommentI believe it has quite a religious/philisophical meaning. In terms of how Christ, along with many others, said to treat the body as a temple for your soul.

How much is your temple worth? I also think he's crying out to God/Christ/Anyone, asking, "What IS my body worth?" Christ gave his body for man, how can I treat mine in likeness of him?

I also believe the lyrics say, " Why believe in nothing, Why believe in nothing at all?"

Saying if you believe in nothing, what are you then?

It's basically just asking if your body is priceless in your eyes as it is in Christ's.

And the beginning of the song where it says :

    "You didn't learn
That this will not blow over and over
High above they're taking over you
    And you should know
I will not let you go, let you go"

I think is referring how Christ/God will always try to teach you and guide you to heaven 'high above" and never let you go and never give up on you, as they try to 'tak(e)[ing] over you" through the holy spirit, no matter how many times you "didn't learn"

This is an almost perfect passage from the bible :

    1 Corinthians 6:19-20
Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.

But overall in all honestly, it's all in how YOU interpret it. I'd say Christ is a strong force in my life so this is how the song affects me. That's the beauty of music and lyrics, absolutely EVERYONE hears and interprets it completely differently.

General CommentHuh? Meh, the god thing could work. Honestly, I think it's about a relationship that isn't working out exactly like the guy planned. Maybe he just found out the girl only likes him for his body, nothing deeper. I don't know, but that's what I think.
