"Cry Me A River" as written by Paulo Mendonca and Terence Martin....
Now you say you're lonely
You cry the whole night thorough
Well, you can cry me a river, cry me a river
I cried a river over you

Now you say you're sorry
For bein' so untrue
Well, you can cry me a river, cry me a river
I cried a river over you

You drove me, nearly drove me out of my head
While you never shed a tear
Remember, I remember all that you said
Told me love was too plebeian
Told me you were through with me and

Now you say you love me
Well, just to prove you do
Come on and cry me a river, cry me a river
I cried a river over you

I cried a river over you
I cried a river over you

General Commenti love her voice! heartbreak song. someone did and said some hurtful things and now they are sorry and want to be forgiven. but before they can be taken back, insist that they go through what i went through and i'll then think about it.

General CommentI absolutely fell in love with this song the first time i heard it. Her voice is so...i can't explain it. It has so much passion and WANT in it. The song's meaning is pretty evident I think...

General CommentI just learned recently that they originally wrote this song for Ella Fitzgerald to sing in a movie set in the 1920's, but the scrapped it. BEST DECISION EVER!!!! Even thought Ella's version is awesome as well!
