Each step is moving, it's moving me up
moving, it's moving me up
Every step is moving me up
moving me up, moving, moving me up
Every step is
moving me up
One tiny, tiny,
tiny move
It's all I need
And I jump over
Every step is moving me up

This is how we walk on the moon
This is how we walk on the moon

Every step is moving me up
I'm so far away
One moment there
Moving me up
Every step is moving me up
One moment there
One tiny, tiny move
It's all I need and I jump over

Very catchy and uplifting. Sad to find out Arthur Russell died in obscurity of AIDs in 1992 ...still, his unique sound lives on!

It has to be about overcoming struggles and generally regaining your dignity after a heavy blow. I find this song quite haunting because it is so emotionally powerful.

i think "every step is moving me up" also means that developing and changing, and not standing still,is essential and important for the human mind. if you stand still in your development, you die inside. so keep on struggling, keep on experiencing and challenging yourself.

It's about life. You keep walking, and every step you make you learn something. All you need is to jump over in life. :)

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

He apologizes for missing her calls in the second verse and promises to return them because for him, speaking to her is the most important thing. “Well, I get lost inside my head / In this chaos, you’re my calm / And I will find my feet again / ‘Cause еven the worst days of my life will always еnd / At midnight in your arms,” sings Ed Sheeran in the chorus, revelling in his good luck.
