The worst is over
We went the fast way out
You can see the marks left on my clothes
From where she came undone
You want me to hurt like you, to shadow the pain
Away with my sympathy
And the comforts I abused
Away with dishonesty
And my manufactured truth
I don't care, I just don't

And winter came to hide the sun behind the gray
And erase her
What's done is done
My warmth has gone
Carried by the birds of fall
I don't care, I just don't
It doesn't feel like anything
And winter came to hide the sun behind the gray
And devastate her
What's done is done is done

Heck yeah, freakin awesome song and much too short! But yeah, it's definitely about a relationship going bad. He seems to feel very numb and apathetic toward the whole situation

Defenitely about a relationship… but I cannot decide if the second verse, when he talks about "winter" coming and "hiding the sun" is referencing another man ruining the girl, or maybe in fact death…it reminds me of my marraige… I am a former member of the 75th regiment, "Rangers" to everyone… I spent 13 months in Afghanistan… I saw horrible things… but the very day I returned, my wife(then) had packed up the whole house, my children (I have 2 beautiful boys btw) and told me she was leaving me… I became addicted to pain meds (due to an injury sustained during an IED attack) and soon after heroin… anyways, I am now 4 years clean, see my boys and have a good life. But I feel his pain in every line of this song and I completely relate. Sorry for rambling. Hooah. "Then the clouds met the sand as the cyclones began… In epic charge rose the hordes, all branches and thorns… As the stone from their walls broke legs as they crawled, The stars had no mercy, they screamed for blood in their fall… " 100 points if you know that song…or maybe you just make an old war dog smile.…

This song is the most emotional metal/hardcore song I've ever heard. And I love it.

I agree, this song is way too short to be so bad ass!! It just doesn't really make sense. It's only 2:20 long. I think it may be about the last day he saw his one love? I dunno.

i think it might be about him breaking someones heart that he has no feelings for.

I think its the end of some sort of relationship. It was obviously a bad end perhaps what the marks left on my clothes is referring too. Also it seems the other person tried to make him feel guilty or do something to hurt him so that they could feel better about themselves. I believe the winter came part is simply to a reference to the time it happend or what came afterwards. The band is from Wisconsin which im also from and for many people here winter is the death of something to a lot of people. I know this song hits home whenever its cold, dark, and snowy here and something is going wrong in my life. Awesome band and im so proud that a group of metal/metalcore musicians this great came from my home state. Gives us other bands hope.

@zypher01: the band is primarily from Wisconsin but vocalist/song writer Karl is from Regina in Canada.

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Cajun Girl
Little Feat
Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/
