(Save us from ourselves)

The ending
That peace could grow inside of you
In spite of me
Humanity
I hope you're out there somewhere
Right now I'm all alone
I feel my time has come
Embrace the ending
I cannot take this pain
I cannot take this shame
Save us from ourselves

Welcome the way that we
Embrace the ending

We all fool ourselves
When we share the wealth

Welcome the way that we
Embrace the ending

(To disagree with me)
Used to be
All that I wanted you to see
All that I needed you to be
Does anyone care
To disagree with me?
Admit defeat we bleed
In disbelief
I hear the whole the world

Welcome the way that we
Embrace the ending

And it's all in spite of me
Humanity
I hope you're out there somewhere
All alone I hear the whole world
And it's all I ever wanted to believe

General CommentI really think this song refers to the album's title (Savior Sorrow) and the recurring theme throughout the album.

The idea behind Savior Sorrow is that a savior's sorrow is that he cannot save himself and that no one saves him. By being a savior, he must accept his own demise.

He also must deal with being cognizant of the sins and misfortunes of those he has to save. This causes the savior to perceive the world as depressing and vile.

"Humanity, I hope you're out there somewhere."
    "Save us from ourselves"

Those two lines say it all.

General CommentListen to Save Us, Embrace The Ending, and Best Buy bonus track #1. Notice some similarities?

The lines "Humanity, I hope you're out there somewhere" and "Used to be all that I wanted
You to see, all that I needed you to be
Does anyone care?" are in Save Us and Embrace The Ending.

Best Buy bonus track #1 seems to be a remix of Save Us with some lines from Embrace The Ending written in. Or maybe it's the other way around, or perhaps somewhere in between. Whatever it is, I'm sure that they are connected.

General Commenti have to say i totaly agree with both of u up there but on another song people dissed waylon, which by far is uncalled for jmann hand picked him as is replacement and jmann thought he would fit the band better with nothing, in my opinion this is their best work and best song i ever heard

General CommentI look at it as a suicide-themed song which emphasizes on the folly of human nature.

He finds himself all alone, isolated. He gives up his search to find what he always wanted to believe in (peace, humanity). He realizes the foolishness of mankind, and remembers somebody he once cared for. He "embraces the ending" and commits suicide, hoping still that the humanity and peace still exist out there somewhere.

    General Commentidk bout anyone else
but in school, we are reading the iliad
and i'm not sure if its indirect or not, but it reminds me of the story of achilles, he eventually accepts the prophecy that he is going to die and therefor embraces the ending

General CommentIn an interview on their myspace, One of them, I'm thinking st1tch said that one of them had came up with that name, to tell people to "save your sorrow" because the old MH is gone...

Embrace the ending , and welcome the new...

General CommentIts more or less about how someone loses their path in the quest for Peace and Enlightenment, and how death seems to be the true option left. So, we take it, and embrace whats coming to us. The Ending.
