"Luton To Lisbon" as written by and John Malcolm Watts....
Born to stay in a new world of grey towns
Now we pay for the years of decline
Half the world concerned with its future
Half the world preparing to die

All the same from Luton to Lisbon
Just the name providing a clue
Chainstore towns in faraway places
Mark the end of a capital boom

General CommentSlow and untypical song, did`t like it 1981 either.

Seems to be about feeling hopeless.

Today much more interresting, foreseeing the end of the capital boom.
