"Drown You Out" as written by Mitch James and Edward Sloan....
Today was unexpected
Nothing here is how I left it
Each day that passes by just seems to feed the lie
Closing in around me; makes it so hard to see
Now I'm standing on the ledge
My foot creeps closer to the edge
Friends all know what to say
To make me push them away
What they can't know about me makes it so hard to see

I'm not holding my tongue for you anymore
I will scream so loud till I drown you out
Now you can't hold me down anymore
I will scream so loud
I will scream so loud till I drown you out

So many days of silence
Too many destructive ways to vent
I hope they set something free
Didn't know they were out to kill me
Today I'll turn it all around
Pick myself off the ground
Sweat all the sickness out
Force all the demons down
Stand up and set it straight
Get it right before it's too late
For now I'm feelin' fine
Left all the pain behind
It's time to live my life
I finally got it right

I'm not holding my tongue for you anymore
I will scream so loud till I drown you out
Now you can't hold me down

I can still taste the words on my tongue sayin' we're okay
But when I raise my head up to see the darker side that isn't me
So now I raise my hands up; so tired of giving in
Throw this all away and start again

I'm not holding my tongue for you anymore
I will scream so loud till I drown you out
Now you can't hold me down anymore

General Commenti love this song, favorite part:

'Today I'll turn it all around
Pick myself up off the ground
    Sweat all the sickness out
    Force all the demons down
Stand up and set it straight
Get it right before it's too late'

This song is ultimately a motivator for me...to me it says, sometimes you have to cut your losses and pick up and move on, especially when someone is dragging you down into a place so dark that you lose sense of yourself. It's about knowing when you have to walk away and finding the strength in yourself to start over again.

General Commentwow no one commented this song yet
well the chorus seems like someone is in a relationship and on of them isnt saying what the want to say. there holding it in and he/she cant hold it in anymore.

the first verse(sorry about my spelling) is like they broke up and he/she isnt use to it so and his/her friends are trying to cheer them up but its not working and he/she wants to die

General Commentok so my local radio station was interveiwing the lead singer of crossfade and he said the songs meaning is about how a person has friends who just take them for granted and they get sick of being ignored and shut out so its about finally getting sick of it all and "screaming so loud you'll drown them out"
