He's a wreck
But let him settle in
And all the rest of the pieces
Will fall in
And all that's left of his life
Will haunt him and
Her last breath will be where it begins
Cause they bring him back
To counter-attack
This is not the end
There's plenty more
I've seen it before
The end's where it begins

And that's what I like about it
It's not so complicated if you go right through

It's the best part of all this
Cause we have been left for dead
In our own fucking beds
Forced to start again
With new eyes open
The end's where it begins

And that's what I like about it
It's not so complicated if you go right through

The decisions made never go away
But they're misunderstood
It's not looking good
But that's what I like about it
It's not so complicated if you go right through

General CommentThere are few words to describe just how good this song, as well as the rest of the CD.

Hot Water Music is dead...Long live Hot Water Music.

General Commentthe song seems to just be about new beginnings it opens up, at the end of (something) and then talks about comebacks (counter-attacks) and starting over (the end's where it begins).

great opening number for the album.

General Commenti got the song on repeat i got a glass full of whiskey in one hand and the rest is just pure fucking joy, great song, in my opinion, all about making a new start, doing things right, putting shit in perspective, best line,

"But that's what I like about it
It's not so complicated if you go right through"

keep your head up and just kick the shit out of life before it kicks the shit out of you.

General Commenti guess the guy above just answered me, but im not too sure if you go right through means to just plow right on through life or something, rolling over anything any your way. I think it mite mean something different, like go right thru, like go thru where? a door? i donno its got to be something less complicated than a door cuz a door sometimes is a pain in the ass to open lol jk, im not sure about this one.

General CommentHave this song playing over and over ever since I got home this morning. I think it's pretty self-explanatory. Feeling lost and weak and aimless after a breakdown, what sort it might be...in this case I even think it again is about a relationship break up ( "HER last breath will be where it begins" here where she stops breathing as part of his life she starts breathing just for herself from there on and he is as it says further "Forced" to start again, so he appearantly didn't chose to do so and later it even says "Left for dead"...sounds obvious to me...whaddaya think?) I guess it's just a song about being ABSOLUTELY crashed and having to go on. I like the motivating spirit the song has, although it holds on to its realistic perspective of things...very well done by the Draft here.

To blc, The "go right through" in my opinion means going through the rough time that you undeniably know is ahead of you...as that is all there is you can do and on the other hand also is what makes it "not so complicated"...makes sense, doesn't it?

General CommentOh yeah...I forgot to add something. Check out "Let Go" by Frou Frou off the Garden State Soundtrack. It partly refers to the same topic...so you get what I mean.

General Comment"I believe in what I do. I don't believe I'm the greatest guy or anything, but I believe in what I do, in what I say and fight for. I believe in my friends and I believe in what they say and fight for. I'm scared. I'm very scared of a life with no passion. I'm terrified of that. It just fucking terrifies me and it's always terrified me. The big city is gray - gray sidewalk, gray street, gray buildings, gray suits, no fucking color in the people's skin, black hair - no color, no life, no passion, just the fucking grind and that fucking terrifies me. I can't even think of that. It's just terrible to me, so I believe in what I'm doing. I believe in finding the passion and keeping it going and keeping the fire burning in every way. If you let it die somewhere, it's just going to die everywhere." -Chris Wollard. How can you not admire this guy? Every band he's been a part of were brilliant in their own ways. This Guy was born for this shit.
