This is about bronies. They communicate by stomping.
yes, we can make a difference
no, it's not enough to say you know my name
sure, it's not all you're good for
but still, it's what you're here for
if you want it
you can have it
if you want it
you can slide in next to me
if you need it
no need to leave it
you can see it
you can slide in next to me
yes, we can break the surface
and fall onto what's beneath us
sure, it's not all you're good for
but still it's what your paid for
if you want it
you can have it
if you want it
you can slide in next to me
if you need it
no need to leave it
you can see it
you can slide in next to me
no, it's not enough to say you know my name
sure, it's not all you're good for
but still, it's what you're here for
if you want it
you can have it
if you want it
you can slide in next to me
if you need it
no need to leave it
you can see it
you can slide in next to me
yes, we can break the surface
and fall onto what's beneath us
sure, it's not all you're good for
but still it's what your paid for
if you want it
you can have it
if you want it
you can slide in next to me
if you need it
no need to leave it
you can see it
you can slide in next to me

@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday".
I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.
Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988.
"'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it."
"There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
no comments? shock and appallation! this song kicks ass! i saw them play this live when i went t the living end concert. it was awesome.
i saw these guys live aswell, living end convert too. they were fantastic, more better live than the cd (personal opinion). i think this song is about a relationship, the guy is saying 'you and i will be something special, all you need to do is be with me'. and he's also saying 'if you want me, just slide in next to me'... that's my interpretation of it.

rad song. people need to check out their full length 'replica, replica'. and upload their other lyrics k thx.
radical. radical. radical. it was my myspace song. lol.
this is another great song from the red riders debut album!!! the meaning of the song is quite obvious- i dont think that he feels anything deeper for this person.
This song is sexy =D And I agree with Danagirl. 'Cept my friend saw them live and he said he was absolutely off his face on something other than alcohol and couldnt even finish the performance properly... He was rolling around on the floor. hahaha. I love the Red Riders.
smeege,I agree,this song is so sexy ... :]
whaaaatt guys i actually think he is singing about meaningless sex.
its not enough to just know my name, you are a stranger, and although you maybe a good person and have great characteristics about yourself you only came here to screw with me. and that both of us know that you want this so "slide in next to me"
"yes, we can break the surface and fall onto what's beneath us" may mean that we may actually get to know each other and get past the "surface" and have a deeper connection.
it may also have to do with simple conversations and how he sings "but still its what youre paid for" ... i dont know actually but yeah.
thats basically what how i interpret the song.
i love these guys. and this song.
i think its about a girl he wants to have sex with. "sure, it's not all you're good for but still it's what your paid for" maybe shes employed somehow by the band. ArtBitch is totally right about the "break the surface" bit and later on they might have a deeper connection but i think he just wants sex at that moment. i love this song. red riders are awesome. im suprised their new stuff isnt up. "ordinary" has a more upbeat sound than "slide in next to me" but its still chill
