You listen in to what we have to say
But turn and walk away
Are you listening now?

You know it won't take much to change my mind
to make me turn this car around
Just the tone of your voice could make me hit the brakes
and look out for an exit
to make me turn this heart around

Oh, when you look this way,
and I can say I've been there,
until recently.

With you, it's another lesson learned in letting go.
And I’m too scared to let you, to let you go.

Could it be I'm scared to let you go?

You know it won't take much to change my mind,
to make me turn this car around
Just the tone of your voice could make me hit the brakes
and look out for an exit,
to make me turn this heart around.

Oh, when you look this way,
and I can say I've been there,
until recently.

With you, it's another lesson learned in letting go.
And I'm too scared to let you, to let you go.

You call me by my name
You call me by my name
You call me by my name
it feels like sinking sand.

With you, it's another lesson learned in letting go.
And I'm too scared to let you, to let you go.

General CommentThey are at the point of the relationship where they are so ready to let go of each other that the slightest conflict will cause them to break up. Because they love each other so much, they are afraid that if they do let each other go, they will regret it. The guy is contemplating whether or not he should do it but he is "afraid to let her go." He realizes he's being sucked into "sinking sand" and can't do it when "you call me by my name".

Great song, my favorite song from them =)
