"Water Under the Bridge" as written by Stephen Daniel Mason, Charlie Lowell, Dan Haseltine, Matt Odmark and Ronald John Aniello....
I do not love you the way I did when we met.
There are secrets and arguments I haven't finished yet.
But it's only that grace has outlived our regret that we're still here.

So maybe we can stay, till the last drop of water flows under the bridge,
We can stay, till the last drop of water flows under the bridge.

There are times meant for breaking, and words to ignore,
And a bent to our souls when our skin is at war.
And if leaving were freedom, well, we'd both walk right out of that door.

Maybe we can stay, till the last drop of water flows under the bridge,
We can stay, till the last drop of water flows.

And the years roll by, and you hold my hand, while the shadows stretch over the land.
Crumble and fall in my arms, and we'll struggle to hold on.
Waters they rise and they carry our hopes and dreams away, baby we can stay, stay.

And the years roll by, and you hold my hand, while the shadows stretch over the land.

Maybe we can stay, till the last drop of water flows under the bridge,
We can stay, till the last drop of water flows under the bridge,
We can stay till the last drop of water flows under the bridge.

General CommentI agree. This song is one of the most realistic songs about marriage I have ever heard. The lyrics are heartfelt and real not idealized and once again proves that Jars are one of the greatest bands of the century lyrically.

General CommentNo one had commented on this track(last on their albu..Good Monsters.)
I'll just do it, as to show my gratitude to this wonderful band"Jars of Clay"

I'm just not so sure if I'll do it right.

Feel free to criticize me if I made it wrong.

I think the song shows that a couple that decides to stay on their relationship to which is having so much problem, until all of these problem are gone:We can stay till the last drop of water flows under the bridge, for there will more of good things to come after the hard times.

General CommentBeing the last song on the album, I guess it also represents our constantly changing relationship with God (which is a main theme throughout the album). Sometimes we struggle (There are secrets and arguments I haven't finished yet) but in the end, it's just a natural evolution of this relationship with God (I do not love you the way I did when we met). Again, the knowledge that God won't relent and holds on to us and just forgets all our faults, is our salvation.
