In the belly of a dream
I bought a gram of opium seeds
I heard a hundred flowers speak
Yes, it's true

And I met two little girl eyes
Her body was a countryside
That led the day into the night
It's true
It's true
True

In the belly of the street
There are idiots walking with their feet
To where the ocean kissed the land
Yes, it's true

I met a walrus and a man
They really helped me understand
That life is just a dream
Then who's the fool

Gaman Dikeru

I'm dreaming of papaverine
Hole fallin'
I'm lookin' glass lookin'
In the garden of live flowers
I'm deep sleepin'

I'm dreaming of papaverine
Hole fallin'
I'm lookin' glass lookin'
In the garden of live flowers
I'm deep sleepin'

I'm dreaming of papaverine
Hole fallin'
I'm lookin' glass lookin'
In the garden of live flowers
I'm deep sleepin'

A deep sleeper

General CommentI love this song, it was what hooked me on to As Tall As Lions. Obviously this song is a dream, and how random and changing dreams are and in the one verse "That life is just a drean then who's the fool" that you spend all your life dreaming so who's the fool the dreamer or the dreams? Then it talks about falling and looking through glass. Like you fall at the end of the dream and wake up looking through glass "window" back at your imagination/dream.

General CommentSong is about doing drugs and the hallucinations that come with. It also references/loosely bases itself upon Lewis Caroll's Alice in Wonderland/Through the Looking Glass.

    Duh.

General CommentI agree with TheLionTamer, except for the hallucinations.
"I bought a gram of opium seeds"
Opium is what makes heroin and also papaverine.
    Neither of these causes hallucinations.
Heroin causes intense euphoria and papaverine is used medicinally to loosen muscles and is non-addictive.
My favorite part of this song is
    "I'm dreaming of papaverin.
Hole fallin', I'm lookin' glass lookin'.
In the garden of live flowers I'm deep sleepin'."
My take on it is that he may be using heroin and takes enough that he passes out.
He has vivid dreams and in them experiences flowers, possibly poppies, which is where opium comes from. He has a new take on life, "Life is just a dream".

General Commentin this song, there's a line "gaman dikeru", and it bothered me for the longest time because i really wanted to know what it meant. i finally asked julio at one of their shows, and he went and asked someone, and they said that they don't remember the exact meaning of the phrase, but it's japanese and the reference is to drug usage as a part of society.
just in case you were wondering. :]
