"Let Me Take You There" as written by and Tom Higgenson....
I know a place that we can go to
A place where no one knows you
They won't know who we are
I know a place that we can run to
And do those things we want to
They won't know who we are

Let me take you there
I wanna take you there

I know a place that we've forgotten
A place where we won't get caught in
They won't know who we are (they won't know, won't know)
I know a place where we can hide out
And turn our hearts inside out
They won't know who we are

Let me take you there
I wanna take you there
Let me take you there
Take you there
Take you there
Ooohhh
Ooohhh
Ooohhh
Ooohhh

I know a place we'll be together
And stay this young forever
They won't know who we are

Let me take you there
I wanna take you there
Let me take you there
Take you there
Take you there
Ooohhh

We can get away to a better place if you let me take you there
We can go there now cause every second counts
Girl just let me take you there
Take you there

General Commentby the end of this album this really was a relief, im sorry to all of you, but for this album, this is the only song that lives up to all that we needed or stop.

The meaning is obvious, how, you can just want to run away with someone, to spend time with them, but the people around you arent important. The people currently around might not be too fond of the two of you, for some reasons you dont want them...

MemoryThis song definitely has a great significant meaning to me. I'm currently in a relationship with someone whom I love very much. We're just about at 1 year and 3 months. We both go through a lot of drama independently with our families and friends, and of course the occasional drama between us that usually derives from those other problems. This song sends chills down my spine every time I hear it because it gives me this hope that one day her and I can escape to somewhere that we can just be together. Sounds simple, but it's such a strong idea. We just want to be together. We want to be somewhere that we can truly focus on appreciating each other and the love we share. Nothing else in the world would be better in my personal opinion. Love is one of the few things in life that I take seriously and it drives me. My girlfriend literally saved my life. At the time we got together, I was in a gang, robbing people at gunpoint, doing/selling drugs, and quite a bit of other things that I'm not proud of. I had just stopped caring. I felt I had no reason to try and succeed, so I didn't care whether I lived or died. She got me to leave it ALL behind. She didn't ask me to, but she made me WANT to. She made me want to be a better person for her, and for myself. She gave me a reason to live which, coincidentally, opened my eyes to all the things around me that were worth living for. I was blind to all the beauty that there is in life, and now I appreciate the simple yet beautiful things. Anyways, back on topic. This song provides a perfect dreamworld for me and my girlfriend that I hope to someday find.

General Commentthey're new album, like all the others, is AMAZING.... not just this particular song, but ALL OF THEM. all of the songs, if you really think about them, have great meaning and something behind them.

General Commenti dont want to turn this into a debate on this too much... so after this comment, you are free to reply, but i wont again.

I'm am not claiming the songs lack meaning, i just don't think that as much thought went into the art of writing in these ones...

The perfect example is hate... a song... with clear... understandable meaning....and not a bad song... just not...great like their previous songs... in the end... all the really's just felt like... "i really don't know what to put here"

anyway... its jsut an opinion... if you want to actually take it up with me... email me... my email address is in my profile...

General CommentTHis song is simply beautiful. If I had any skills in singing whatsoever, I'd definitely have someone to sing this to.. I could always carry a boombox to their window and blast the music, ha. :P

General CommentI agree with HelloBeautiful, after hearing Hey There Delilah so much on the radio, it's not my favourite song by them anymore. This is gorgeous.

General CommentI think this song is worth commenting on only because it has a really significant message if you think hard enough. As a lot of you said, not the best album...but watevs. Anyway I think the whole thing about no one knowing who we are is commenting on how much being annonymous changes. i mean, think about it. When you're with ppl who know you and would certainly judge you, you can't be entirely uninhibited. it's like the song breathe by Anna Nailick. "these words are my diary screaming outloud...and I know that you'll use them however you want to". If you hold nothing back, you're sure to get hurt. However, if you're in a place where you don't care what anyone thinks you can be truely yourself. Like this website for example...i can write whatever and just hope for the best :)

General Commentuhm. i think its actually
    "a place we'd forgotten"
    not
    "a place we forgot"
not that it actually makes a difference.
i love this song. its just so pretty and simple.
