Turn the key to the night, see it pulling outta here
See if the stars know where you go
Follow the dark across, there's a purpose for you there
Follow the first impression home

Reckless and cold, never been sold on someone to call your own
Reckless and cold. It's the first time you've had it all

And now you're running out of time
Running out of time to draw the line
You heard the world was moving on
World was moving on with you a step behind
And now you're running out of time, running out of time
Your life flashes before your eyes

Demons are at your door
Phantoms inching ever close
Evil is starved for innocence
So far from typical to need a friend
You better hold on to that younger heart

It's the first time you've had it all, so now you dance to the
Beat of the breakdown. Your life flashes before my eyes

Running out of time, running out of time
Running out of time, running out of time

General CommentWhen you forgot that your life was happening and everything justhits you at once. Like the lyrics say, you are running out of time. You feel left behind and forgot to enjoy the little moments in life and anything positive has just disappeared. And now you are either too old or something to do all the things you wanted to with your life. Simple as that...

General CommentSounds almost like a Christian song when ya put it that way, but, I pretty much agree...nice song, they used this for Bionicle.

My InterpretationTo me it sounds like, in more than one place, its making a reference back to a Stephen King epic series of storys intitled The Dark Tower. I could be wrong but the thing that pushes me farthest to believe this is:

"You heard the world was moving on,
World was moving on with you a step behind"

this is a strong reference in the books and you would have to read them to understand fully
this could also be interpreted as a part of the books:

    "Demons are at your door.
    Phantoms inching ever close."
